Woodstock Inn Bed & Breakfast

I stayed at the Woodstock Inn one night (in the Moroccan King room), as I was visiting the Truman museum the next day. The inn is charming, and Debbie is a most gracious host. I did not have a car, so I can't speak to driving distances, but I had no problem walking to the downtown area for dinner the night of my stay. You will not go hungry at breakfast, and Sheila's French toast was outstanding. Debbie offered to drop me off at the Truman museum, which was a wonderful surprise and much appreciated. It was a lovely stay.

First, the old building has amazing first floor spaces and niches and nooks and crannies. Decorated a bit over the top, but great character. Debbie, the host was a special plus and full of life and stories. Amazingly good breakfast served at a single table and was fun to meet others there. Close to Truman sites [we were just passing through]. Plenty of off-street parking. Beautiful neighborhood. We would stay again.

The room we had is small and lacked space to open a bag except on the bed. If you have luggage, may be a problem with smaller room.

Breakfast was awesome. Our room was clean and comfortable. Debbie was sweet to my kids, and brought them toys to play with.

The breakfast was very good. Although Debbie talked over everyone and kind of hovered. That was a little awkward. It would have been nice to be able talk to some of the other guests at the table. Also it was very hot on the day we checked in. Debbie told us she would be there at a certain time, and then was 45 minutes late. There were three couples waiting to check in.

This was an amazing stay, Deb was phenomenal and made the stay worth every minute. After we left she called and let us know we left our daughters mattress. We went back to get it. After we were almost home and 2 hours away she called again to let us know as left my husbands wedding ring. I offered to pay to have it sent to us and she refused and offered to send it to us at no cost. Having suck great service even after the visit made us want to visit again. if you have the chance I recommend 100%

Everything about the Woodstock Inn was incredible. We stayed for the Taylor Swift concert and they made purple TS themed cookies. There were other baked goods everyday as well and breakfast was wonderful! We stayed in the English Spa room which was cozy and cute. The back yard was great as well with lots of seating and space. Debbie and all the staff were kind and friendly. We will definitely be staying there again the next time we’re in the Kansas City area.

The owner Kim & the manager Debbie went out of their way to ensure every possible amenity was available. A video & book library, board games & glassware for any situation as well as a wonderfull outdoor area with lawn games & fire pits with s'mores kits on the dining room table. Just like home an assortment of fresh home made cookies are always on the dining room table. bottled water & soft drinks or tea & coffee were at the ready in the common room as well as your own rooms. Plush soft robes & towels hang next to the overly large spa tubs & the basket of wash clothes hides a bath bomb for your relaxtion. The canopy bed was piled with pillows and wrapped in 800 count sheets. The breakfast is made fresh every morning with a breakfast caserole, fresh fruit, juice & coffee or eggs to order. Every morning we were there most of the guest sat & discussed plans for the day, their adventures the night before & a myriad of other subjects. Kim & Debbie make you feel like you are visiting family for a holiday weekend as everything I have listed is included. My words cannot aptly descrbe the atmosphere of the Woodstock bed & breakfast.

The only thing we didn't like was departing.

The breakfasts were fine and were different every day. Convenient location. Very helpful and friendly hosts. The room was tastefully furnished. If the opportunity arises, I will stay here again but in a different room with a larger bathroom. I did not see pictures on line of the rooms

Would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room. The shower was tiny!

We spent two nights in the Scottish King Suite. The mattress/bedding was phenomenal - both of us fell asleep quickly after getting to our room! Breakfast was good, and the innkeeper was kind enough to whip us up some bacon and eggs when we had to leave earlier than planned. It was a great get-away weekend for us!

The room was a bit dated... specifically the bathroom/sink area. We had to ask for shampoo and soap since we forgot to pack, but they were able to provide it! The mirror was detached above the sink - we were told they were going to be replacing it soon. We wish the weather would have cooperated more so that we could have enjoyed the outdoor space!

The breakfast was freshly homemade and delicious. The owner greeted us when we arrived and made us a snack. We felt very welcome and at home. There was a patio out back where we were able to relax when we arrived. The room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Nothing. Everything was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. We did take a walk and had to take a detour to avoid a homeless person, but this was several blocks from the B&B.

The breakfast was delicious and it was great to have access to the kitchen! We are newlyweds and were able to get wine glasses and a cork screw for the wine we brought to enjoy. We loved the huge spa tub that was in our room! We were in the Italian Suite which was posh, with a comfortable loveseat and two luxurious robes. We were comfortable and able to relax after a very busy wedding!

Everything was perfect!
