Baymont by Wyndham Tupelo

I believe you get what you pay for. Not here, it was above my expectations. $71 and expected a run down place but I didn’t really care because I just wanted a place to put my head after 8 hours on the road. I was extremely impressed when I got to the room. It was jaw dropping for the cost. And the beds, OMGoodness! Say good night!

I was a room inspector for a major hotel chain and I’m former military so naturally it’s the first thing I do when I walk into a room. At first sight it’s gorgeous but then there’s the bathroom corners. The sink faucets had soap scum and hair and the cord to the coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned. I had a hard time brushing my teeth with that staring me in the face. Housekeeping was a bit cranky and were bi****ng and moaning about their job. Maybe they’re just not morning people and that’s ok.

,The room was clean. We stayed a little over a weekend. Felt like home away from home. Location perfect, all stores, restaurants, shopping places down the road all easy to go.

Baymont over charges me for my rooms. Prices were a lot higher than what I booked and was quoted what I would be charged. They even charged one of my nights separately as if it was an extra night and it wasn't. It should have been all charged as one total price and then tax that price.

Great location. Staff was very friendly and kind. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner worked great. Refrigerator in room was a nice size. Pool area was clean and my kids loved it.

The rooms could have been a little cleaner. The tub was brown in the bottom. It was cold in the indoor pool area.

Location is great. Price is very reasonable. I will stay at this hotel when I am in town again. The check-in clerk was very friendly and service was very fast. The room was clean. Bed was fairly comfortable.

Although the room is set up for 4 guests, hotels always stock them for 2 or 3. This room had 2 wash cloths and 3 towels. I don't think I should have to go ask for more towels and wash cloths. I am 5'1". The bed was entirely too tall. It was waist high to me! The indoor pool was not open. If you have an indoor pool, you should allow it to be used year round. Breakfast, coffee, juice, and granola bars..... huh? that isn't breakfast!

My family and I stay at this motel all the time!! We really like it there. I really like the fact that the doors are all on the inside. I feel comfortable when me grands run ahead of me to the pool!!

There isnt much i dont like except for no handicap parking at the end of the building when you have to go in the end door.

check in was fast. The sink in the room was updated and very nice. Room amenities like chairs, frig, microwave coffee maker and table with good lighting for writing or using a laptop were present.

Beautiful pool was closed because of covid. the room was small as well as the bathroom but for one night was ample. Breakfast was only breakfast bars coffee and juice even though all appliances were present for a more substantial. No decaf coffee.

The manager the short guy . I think that he maybe Indian . I can’t recall his name but is very rude and obnoxious. Terrible attitude. But the rest of the staff and the place was very pleasant. I would definitely not want to work under someone like him

Cleanliness

First room wasn’t cleaned but the receptionist made sure I got another room in no time and with respect!!

There is ample parking, the room was clean and the bed was fabulous. The location was perfect. Easy on easy off the Interstate.

I was surprised there was no fresh fruit or anything that a diabetic could eat for breakfast. 

I LOVED THE SMELL OF THE ROOM. IDK WHAT WAS USED BUT OH MY GOODNESS. MY SUITCASE SMELLED LIKE THE ROOM WHEN I GOT HOME

Just smelled like smoke in the bathroom but we reported it so we werent accused of it
