Hampton Inn Boston-Norwood

Room and facility were exceptionally clean. The staff was very cheerful at welcoming. The location was very close to family in Dedham that I was visiting. My dog, who is usually very nervous and hyper, was extremely comfortable and acted like he was at home. The breakfast buffet was large and very tasty. It offered a wide variety. Though it was just an overnight, it was a fantastic way to do this trip and it is definitely where we will be in the future when in the area! BTW, there are pet stations all around the hotel, with bags and disposal.

Really have an extremely small list of suggestions rather than complains. So you know, they are remodeling the dining area, I presume. The only thing my wife missed at the buffet was some fresh fruit. Really, I had to reach to find these!

It was a lovely hotel, clean, and easy to get to. I liked that there were a couple of food places within walking distance. We went to the Irish pub in the hotel and it was delicious! Breakfast was ok, typical hotel breakfast. The staff was very attentive, brought out fresh eggs & bacon when it was low. They even made some fresh eggs when a guest asked for them 5 minutes before breakfast was supposed to close! They could have said sorry we’re closing in 5 minutes, we’re all out, but they went above and beyond so this man could have eggs. I was impressed.

There was only one girl working in the entire hotel, the poor girl was checking people in and also trying to attend to guests who needed extra towels, etc. I felt bad for her being all by herself, but she did it all with a smile. I know help is hard to find these days, but I don’t think it’s very fair for her to be the only employee working in the entire hotel.

Location was great for our purposes of visit

Janerra was very rude. We drove 23 hours straight. We sent email a few days ahead asking for early check in. No one answered our email. When we arrived jenerra told us no early check in. Never even look to see if something was available. We left to get breakfast and called booking .com and the gentleman understood made a phone call and called us back and said we could check in anytime. When we return to the hotel janerra did nothing but attitude to check in. For the next 3 days she would not even acknowledge us as we entered or exited the hotel

Clean rooms , Clean bedding, Clean bathroom facilities with More than enough towels. I could smell the faint aroma of disinfectant entering the room which for me is a big plus. Surprisingly no weird musty smells in the halls or elevators which I cannot stand at hotels. Continental breakfast with perfect food and beverage options, and fantastic and friendly staff. Free apples and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby every afternoon! The three to four event rooms were on the lobby level and perfect for impromptu gatherings. There was even a computer room but I did not visit it. The attached restaurant could be accessed from the lobby without going outside. This hotel borders a golf course which our room window faced so the view was pretty. A little far from the city and traffic is not kind on weekdays. Still, I would stay here again! .

The only issue was the desk chair in our room which was horribly stained so we covered it with a fresh bath towel and gave it a wide berth.

The staff was very helpful and the place was clean. Fine Irish pub/restaurant with good beer, but the food portions were a bit big (I recommend sharing).

The breakfast was okay except for the fact that all the cutlery, plates and glasses were paper and plastic disposables. I was quite shocked about that being the case in 2023. In all my travels I have never seen anything like this.

nice hotel. good value for money. beds very comfortable. breakfast good. nice bar next door. staff very friendly overall.

while hotel is in good location there is nowhere to go for walk. on main road. no pathways. would need taxi or car to go everywhere. could have more tourist literature/booklets in reception giving information on things to do, places to visit etc.

The staff were excellent when there was a small issue with my room and moved me to another one. It's located off a highway, so very convenient, but not scenic. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. It would be great if the company would pay to have non-disposable utensils and plates for breakfast - help the environment and, by hiring dishwashers they would be creating jobs.

I didn’t like the fact that “Jim” from another facility was filling in from another facility INSISTED on charging me an additional 15% AND $50 incidental fee although I showed him I booked thru booking.com and there were no ADDITIONAL FEES OWED. He was adamant. when he left I spoke to another front desk rep and was told it was EITHER 15% of the total charge OR $50 incidental fee, not both, and THAT THEY WERE REFUNDABLE UPON CHECKOUT! I am still waiting to be made whole. I also spoke with Booking.com and they would like to know the out come when all is said and done. I had 2 rooms and they are both pending. I stayed at this exact hotel, in February 2022; used booking.com also and didn’t have an issue! Jim really messed up the A+ rating I’ve been giving folks about this hotel!

Room had the smell of dog. Saw a dog pee in the lobby and the owner did nothing to get it cleaned up. Was given a price for a larger room online but assigned a smaller room at hotel. Asked but did not receive lower price although was told they were giving us a lower price.

The staff was great - super friendly, great check-in and check-out process, the attendants I passed in the hall were always kind. The bed was comfy, and I liked the Neutrogena toiletries in the bathroom. The location was easy on/off the highway.

The room itself was fine - there were a few issues, but nothing I bothered to report or that "ruined" my stay in any way. In the shower, I had to turn the temp all the way hot to get lukewarm water and every minute or two it would cycle freezing cold water through. (While I had to turn it all the way hot to get lukewarm the whole time, the freezing cold cycling through every minute or so only happened on one of the days I stayed.) I could also hear folks in other rooms talking clearly enough to make out what they were saying - same with hearing the TV through the walls, hearing peoples' phones vibrating... luckily, I'm used to living in an apartment complex where I can hear my neighbors, so it wasn't terribly disruptive; however, I could see the noise being a bigger issue for others.
