AC Hotel National Harbor Washington, DC Area

The location was excellent, the rooms were newly renovated, the staff were very helpful and friendly

Booking.com did not actually make the reservation with the hotel for me. When I tried to check in the night before with the code that booking sent me, it said my reservation did not exist. I spoke with the property and they had no record of a reservation in my name. The hotel was able to book a room for me and save the day. Booking.com was an unreliable part of this trip. The rest of the trip was fantastic.

I liked the location. The room was very nice and clean. I liked the fact that it was close to everything, and everything was within walking distance.

What could have been better was the room only had one set of towels for two people. Also they had an ice bucket and no wine or cocktail glasses in the room. We had to go down to the bar to get wine and cocktail glasses. For the amount of money we had to pay for the room, they should have had glasses in the room.

Halls are too dimly lit. Please check the TVs and the door locks prior to new guests checking in. My TV did not work, but b/c I got home after midnight and was checking out in the morning, I didn't bother the staff about it. Also, the deadbolt did not retract, so I had to leave my door unlocked and unattended as I was off for a wedding cruise. Maintenance fixed it before I came back, but it made me uneasy to leave my room unlocked and open while I was staying alone. I also think the price is a little much. My ratings are good b/c it's a nice hotel, but I don't think I'll stay here again b/c of the price since I spent very little time in the room.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the center of all the activity at the Washington National Harbor. The rooms were cozy and modern style. The beds were very comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud.

I didn't like that hotel had NO PARKING. You had to park in public parking across the street and lug your luggage into the hotel. It would seem like if your going to have to park in a public garage across the street, that would at least have a discounted parking rate for hotel residents.

Great location. Very clean guest room. King room was a good size. Easy wifi connection.

Customer service at check-in was rushed. I didn’t understand all the information because it was rushed through by the receptionist who didn’t seem to care if I understood or not. Also, coffee service in the mornings available in the breakfast area should be complementary for all guests and not $2.35 - don’t be so greedy!

The security

soap dispenser was empty -- if arriving at night hard to tell were to enter - were to park . you should offer breakfast with price of the room and atleast complemtery coffee felt as though , trying up charge for everything . when it was the loft you seem to have more going on in bar area . I stayed there on a thursday night and almost appeared that there was a very low staff . staying there durning the week should be a lower price hotel seemed very empty

The property is in a great location, close to everything. The decor is a little worn on the lobby and terrace, however the Hotel is beautiful. The guest room we stayed in bed was so comfy! We will stay here again in the future!

The only issue was the bathroom. The ceiling paint was peeling off and there was this really loud sound the toilet made when you flushed it. The sound lasted for about 5 minutes. We notified the front desk & instead of changing our room, they told us they would have the maintenance guy come in the morning. He did come the morning and fixed it.

one thing I can say maids never came had to always go down and request cause we never had room service . also there was one rude lady that was there I honestly felt that she was racist and she worked there . all the other staff were respectful. remind you Ofc we had a kid that was crying but kids cry. i heard another lady kid crying she told me nobody said anything to her. i felt that the one lady just looked at our skin cause she was polite knocking and talking through the door but i when I opened the door and she saw me her whole entire mood and attitude changed. yeah not cool at all makes the staff look awful ! . overall nice stay.

The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, and the harbor the staff was super friendly and helpful. I didn't have a charging adapter for the American plug, one of them went to Target to buy me one. In the room, I had an air conditioner problem and they fixed it so quickly. The view of the room was nice with the wheel and the harbor.

I dont remember being told that I had to ask to have my room cleaned. Once I talked to the front desk, that issues was resolved.

Locating the main entrance. I was dropped off at the main entrance, but when I read the sign, through the glass doors, that the main entrance was on the second floor, walked around the entire building looking for the second floor entrance. There was a desk in that lower lobby but no one was there.
