Days Inn by Wyndham Ankeny - Des Moines

The room I stayed in looked newly renovated and was very clean. Prior to booking this hotel I had to cancel and refund my room at a Motel 6 because it was moldy and dangerous, so this room felt like a 5 star hotel in comparison. The room was nice and quiet and the blinds worked very well for blacking out the room.

The hallways were a bit dingy and under construction, but that didn't affect the stay at all. The breakfast also just consisted of some prepackaged pastries, cereal, and drink machines, but that was good enough for me because it allowed me to just grab food and go. There were some hairs folded into my clean bath towel, which was pretty gross, but I used it anyway so I guess not a huge deal.

Staff was nice, the hotel was clean and smelled good when we walked in. The rooms looked newly remolded.

The breakfast was nthn but snacks for on the go. Nothing hot. By the time I got down there at 8, they only had cereal no granola bars or whatever else they had.

It was a good location for being close to a whole bunch of restaurants since no breakfast was actually available. Pillows were decent. Plenty of charging ports.

I realize with Covid that a lot of places are not offering open food, but I felt like any food would have been good, when you say breakfast included you could be imaginative and creative with foods that are sealed and still yummy to eat that don't need to be exposed to everyone. I left hungry.

the room was in a state of upgrade with a threshold that had yet to be installed and you could tell they were using the older phones until something new (like at front desk) came in

We needed to book the room for another day and the staff was good to work with. Booked the room online and called the hotel to confirm that our belongings would not be moved and we could have the same room. Bad weather in the area and its close to a Mexican restaurant.

This room we had, the bed wasn't as comfortable, felt like it was worn out and the shower had water stains on the walls. The door had gaps around it and you could see the hallway light.

The location was acceptable and it did have nice restaurants around there to enjoy eating out

They didn't had a decent continental breakfast that u could enjoy in the mornings

Room was spacious, good for budget

Breakfast is not much to eat, no choice or varities, stairs was not cleaned.

Being told the 25 dollars for my dog was refundable and still haven’t gotten it back yet
