Coconut Waikiki Hotel

The water and coffee in the lobby is the best thing! Bring a refillable water bottle! Over all It was a great stay for the value. The employees were all so very friendly. I would stay here again for sure.

It does need a bit of a remodel but nothing to complain about really.

Good location and value for money in not having to stay so close to Waikiki beach but can still enjoy the facilities near the beach. It's about 15 mins walk from the hotel to Sheraton Waikiki (if you find it too expensive to stay there). The bus-stop is only 5 mins walk from the hotel to go to the city and Diamond Head area. If you are looking for budget and good hotel, this one is not to be missed.

A bit noisy on some days from the traffic along the road adjacent to the hotel.

We had an unexpected free up-grade to a large room with two bathrooms. The staff were excellent - couldn't be more helpful. The hotel was close to transport and the beach. Endless free coffee and tea in the lobby plus a kitchenette in our room. We would definitely stay here again.

Maybe a tea towel in our room, as we had to use a hand towel for dishes - but that was only a minor inconvenience.

The room, view, facilities

One of the staff members at the reception was rude during my stay, every time when I ask her for towels she wasn't friendly and polite.

Its near to the beach (10min walk) and near to shops and stuff in waikiki (5min walk). The Room was very big and nice, but i'm not sure if they randomly upgradet us, because we booked a normal room. There is free water and coffee available in the lobby, you can also get free towels if you need. The pool is very small, to be fair we didn't use it at all, so we cant say any more about it. For a trip to oahu a very solid and good hotel!

The staff was not that kind we were used until then in the US. The parking costs 40$ per night, they know there are not many public options, so they can charge high...

This place is a real find. It's got cool, kitschy decor that's retro, but not cheesy. The bed was decently comfortable. I was upgraded to a mountain view room for free and was genuinely surprised at how great the view was. The room itself was pretty clean and had all the amenities you need - wet bar, TV, good AC, plenty of outlets. The property is very walkable to the beach and main part of Waikiki.

The card system on the door is very temperamental. Each time I went back to my room, I had to slide the key in and out about 8 times before it would unlock. The room seemed pretty clean, but when I grabbed a towel after showering, several long, thick black hairs were matted inside and fell off on me. I almost needed to take a second shower after that.

Had to book my stay here last minute and the staff was accommodating. It was very close to Waikiki beach and ubers were not expensive to get around. The balcony was cute and I enjoyed the pool. You get a free beach towel as well! I was able to do laundry as well (paid) and the front desk will give you coins and detergent if you don’t have them. They had a to go breakfast in the morning and also let me stay in the lobby after check out while I ate before going to the airport.

the hotel is nice, fairly clean and comfortable but most important - the staff members were really helpful and friendly. the hotel is in Waikiki but few minutes walk from the beach - no beach views at all, but for me personally, it had no meaning as the width of Waikiki is only few hundreds of meters. the area is full of restaurants and shops. Honolulu bus services are great and for 5.5$ per person per day, one can travel to almost anywhere. Coffee machine was available to all gusts 24 hours.

the room was good sized but the shower was a bit tight but not critical. breakfast was actually a small box with 2 small pastries and a tiny cup with fruits - i guess in Covid 19 one should not be too picky.

We liked that the room was cleaned everyday and towels were replaced everyday. The staff were friendly and attentive to our requests. The location was good and a short walk to the major attractions. The view from the balcony was amazing, just what were were hoping for. Due to an emergency we had to checkout earlier than planned and the hotel only charged us for the amount of nights we stayed.

Coffee machine in the hotel foyer was not working the whole time we were their, but there was alternate option with instant coffee.

The staff is excellent!!! They are friendly and so very helpful. The rooms were very clean and roomy. There are laundry facilities on the premises. The location is excellent.. 12 minute walk to the beach, lots of restaurants in walking distance.

There is not a coffee maker in the room. There is a kettle and instant coffee. To get coffee you have to go to the lobby. It says there is coffee 24 hours, but it was often empty. The rooms need updated lighting. It’s very dark and a bit outdated.
