The Inn at Sea Island

The mid September time of year seemed to be perfect for our visit, from the weather to the low crowds in the area. My husband was able to play a round of golf at Sea Island and enjoyed the course, lunch at The Lodge and a knowledgeable Fore Caddy. I enjoyed the complimentary bikes for a ride in the mornings before work. We rode to East Beach to walk our dog at sunset two nights and treasured those times as well. Staff and grounds were excellent. Breakfast was hot and tasty, with two attendants quick to replenish and serve guests.

The Inn was beautiful and the grounds were imaculantly kept. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable. The breakfast was okay but I have had better at other hotels but the staff in the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful.

The elevator wasn't working a couple of times we tried to use it. Only 2 floors so we used the stairs but my mother is elderly and couldn't use the stairs as well.

Sea Island is a special place, this solid construction inn is well fitted and sumptuous and secluded yet ideally situated to access golf, restaurants (at least 2 outstanding) little more than a walk to the other end of the parking lot. Likely we will have a family meet up here again.

Newspapers no longer a part of the services of even upscale accommodations. I miss that. We oldies still read them. The Covid thing is a bit worn an excuse it once was. Breakfast while OK,could be better, perhaps real plates, not cheap plastic. Gives impression cutting corners.

Breakfast was surprisingly good for a buffet. The staff was great! Especially the front desk. Very helpful with restaurant recommendations and places to go. Good location. Walking distance to 2 excellent restaurants. Rooms were vert nice. Having a bar was also a plus.

I would prefer being in the building that was attached to the hotel. It wasn’t a big deal but would have been nice. That’s the only thing I can think of.

Breakfast was very good and the location is convenient. It is an easy drive from I-95 and we like to stay here to break up our trip to Florida. There are very good restaurants close by and it is easy to get to many places on Saint Simon's by car.

The beds were too soft for our preference and the elevator is not very convenient to the right wing of the hotel where we stayed. Only one elevator connects to the lobby.

The pool was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly for the most part.

The housekeeping staff seem to dictate the stay. There should be an app that allows a customer to schedule housekeeping. One of the housekeepers cleaned rooms while the doors were closed, which made us more than a little nervous. There were so many housekeepers that we were tripping over them from 8 am to 5 pm daily.

The quality over all was a significant step-up from the a chain hotel; and the cost was very reasonable. The rooms surround a very nice courtyard and pool area. I would definitely return.

The location - while not disappointing - is nothing special. The property is tucked away all by itself, but is very close to commercial property. There is no walking to the beach, or quaint shops and restaurants. That said, I would not hesitate to go back.

The staff was exceptional - helpful, friendly and efficient. Fabulous location and very clean and eye pleasing,

There was nothing to dislike except I disliked that my stay wasn't longer.

The property is gorgeous, the rooms too. Our first time in Georgia so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but it is a lovely resort , tucked away from hustle and bustle . I’m so glad we stumbled on this hotel on Booking. We were just here for the night so I don’t think we got to experience much of what they have to offer , but it seems like that list is extensive and covers another resort on the island as well of theirs ! They were extremely nice , and I was nervous to have kids there once I saw the hotel but they didn’t seem bothered by it at all! It was a nice stop, but I reckon this would be a wonderful place to come and stay for a while !

My only (not even a big deal ) complaint would be the very strong smelling products in the bathroom, if I had anything. I forgot my soap and am very sensitive to fragrances , and this was just extremely strong for me. I would suggest something milder for all

So beautiful. Loved the outside areas and pool. High ceilings, architecture. Guest laundry without the quarters! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

There was no attempt to dry out the wet outdoor cushions, such as by flipping them up to drain. Hence usually my backside would get soaking wet sitting in them. It would have been nice if they offered guests a day rate for the resort that the same company owns.
