Candlewood Suites - McDonough, an IHG Hotel

When I arrived. After checking in. I went to my room. As I started to clean up for bedtime. I noticed some Cockroaches crawling on the floor in the bathroom. I called down to the front desk. The woman at the desk was wonderful. Zee was her name. She came right up to the room. She resolved the situation in a very professionally manner. Before anyone who See's this before telling her she did a great job of taking care of my needs at the hotel. She asked me if I wanted another room. I let her know that for how she took care of the situation, I wouldn't need to get another room. At two o'clock in the morning, I really just needed some sleep. Thanks to Zee for all she had done for me. My stay was wonderful. God bless you Zee keep up the good work.

I arrived at the Hotel 2am. I understand that we have a kitchen style room. Traveling for several hours, you would think the hotel would have some frozen meals. This hotel failed too keep up on their supplies. I brought this is to the attention of the manager. She just shrugged it off.

The night clerk was just the sweetest young lady. Very clean and modern room, complete with full size fridge, dishwasher, two burner stove top, etc.

The only thing that was an issue was getting to the hotel. Using "Maps" or other app on phone takes you nowhere near the hotel. Had to call hotel and was given an alternate address to plug in. This was a bit frustrating after being on the road all day. Not a deal breaker, but no breakfast provided here.

The hotel was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was pleasant and gave us all the information we needed. I was surprised at the size of the room. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area. We just stayed one night on our drive from Florida to Michigan and it met all our needs. Thank you!

Nothing...everything was fine and to our liking.

Everything else was great, beginning at check in. The receptionist was super friendly. The room was immaculate, the lobby and facilities were very clean, masks were required, and I was even notified when there was a cancelation, so that I could book a room, previous to the cancelation there were no available rooms. I stay here often, and my experience is always amazing here. Also they have free laundry, a pool, a gym, and everything you might need outside of a nice place to sleep is in close proximity and convenient. I am in the service industry so my standards are a little high, though I rarely complain, I will take my business elsewhere. Anytime I travel or am expecting my significant other to come into town, I book Candlewood if possible, it's a home away from home. This establishment always exceeds my expectations.

It was a tad expensive. It was Memorial Day weekend, but in total it was $506 for 2 nights.

The king bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and the shower had great pressure.

It took a bit to find a desk clerk to check in, I believe she was also taking care of cleaning other areas in the hotel. She was very nice and helpful once she did arrive at the desk.

Convenient location, cleanliness, friendly staff, on-site free parking.

I tried to extend my stay and the front desk clerk wasn't helpful at all. So we decided to check out and stay at another location.

As I stated before the manager was very, very kind and helped us with our issue. She went above and beyond resolving our issue and we were very happy with our experience overall. The room was great and had everything you needed for a wonderful stay. We loved the bed and the room was comfortable. We were only sad we couldn't have enjoyed it fully as we got in late and left early.

We had an issue with the front desk receptionist upon arrival, however the manager the next morning took care of the problem swiftly and with ease on our end. I only say this as the situation was the only issue we had with our stay, and it was more due to the individual and not the business.

Comfortable

Not having a breakfast bar and upon checkout at around 11:30 the cleaning lady knocking on my door rushing me to leave as if checkout wasn’t at 12:00( noon). I even had the do not disturb magnet on my door. (Mcdonough location)

They had shampooed our carpet and furniture, they were both still wet??? The elevator was broke on the day we left and I called guest services and she sent a gentleman up to help us, we really appreciated that!

Keisha at the front desk was absolutely fabulous. I was exhausted after a long trip and not feeling well with my dog in the car. she made sure I got a room close to the exit so that it was easier to take my dog in and out. she made my stay exceptional. I’ll be back for sure. customer service at its finest!
