Holiday Inn Express - Wilmington North - Brandywine, an IHG Hotel

Location was great - near all the attractions in the area. It'a a "basic" hotel, but I was really pleasantly surprised when I got there. It was clean, staff friendly, and beds comfortable. Free cookies up front, and breakfast was okay. Less options for bfast on the Sunday.

I think the price we paid for hotel could have been a bit cheaper, but it was a last minute excursion. There didn't seem to be too many people there, so I wish I would've gotten a better deal. My room and hallway had a slight cigarette smell to it. I kinda wish there was a way to reinforce the "no smoking" policy as people with allergies and asthma have a hard time with the smell.

Well I really enjoyed the bed that I slept in it was wonderful I wish you could take it home with me it's an average size room with 2 Queen size beds small space to kinda be around between the in the bed and the window to lower the shade for overnight it's a little bit of a squeeze between the air conditioning that's there under the window and get to the window shade the desk area and the TV are narrow so it's an average room in size but but it was only because my house air conditioning had failed and I treated myself and my son to a cool spot On actually Thursday and today is Friday I changed my arrival date. Yeah this hotel is around other hotels that are right along the driveway there are 2 others.

What I could say is some of this room is a little updated but not a 100% updated it needs a better bathroom floor to see the bathroom floor is older I love the walk Is in shower.

Nice location with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. Ample parking. Free breakfast offered more than expected. Was pleased with having multiple options. Will definitely choose this location again when I attend Diner En Blanc Wilmington again.

Elevator was a little slow. Other than that no complaints.

Great location for visits to museums, historical sites, and other attractions such as Winterthur, Nemours mansion, Brandywine River Museum, Old Swedes Church, historic New Castle, Longwood Gardens, and Brandywine Creek State Park. Very clean property with friendly staff, and good breakfast spread.

I wished they’d had a pool. My daughter would have loved it!

Breakfast seemed to be very good, just tasted eggs and sausage, and well attended.

I picked a room that indicated there was a couch or chair in the room, but there wasn't either. Because of a shoulder condition, I did not sleep very well, and had to purchase a bed pillow that was not cheap,so that I could get a more comfortable rest. The rooms should not indicate a couch or chair, and not have one. Thank you.

The breakfast offered a wide variety to choose from and was very good. The woman in charge of the breakfast area was wonderful. She was very pleasant, upbeat and friendly. Front desk staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Location was great.

Great location close to shopping and food. Close to the interstate. Hotel was clean, staff competent and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with eggs, sausage links, bacon, etc. Location was quiet and looked inviting.

the bed was at the lower end of the scale. did not have a good nights rest during my 3 nights stay. The mattress was hanging through and the pillows were either very firm or very soft. i did not make the effort to ask for alternatives, though.

The room met all of our expectations. The water pressure in the shower was good and the water hot. Appreciated the coffee and fresh drink station in the lobby. Breakfast smelled good but we were not able to partake.

The low channel variety was a bit disappointing..

The location is perfect to access Wilmington, Philadelphia and West Chester. Very convenient to restaurants and retail stores.

The front desk gentleman who registered us was less than welcoming. A friendly welcome greeting would have been appreciated after driving 7 hours. He was rather stiff and mechanical. The front desk ladies were all personable and polite.

Location was great. Close to many stores, restaurants. It is located on a busy road. But that didn't bother me. Area was safe. Room was very clean. Had plenty of towels, etc. No complaints about the room.

Breakfast was just OK. No fruit except for bananas. Eggs were OK. Bread was stale.
