Chaparral Motor Inn

I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEED OUR STAY! It is really hard to impress me, I prefer luxury and to pay more for something nice. My husband prefers whatever is the cheapest. We are on a long road trip, roughly 10,000 miles across from the country, we are from VT and I found this place on booking. The price was right so I booked it. Holy moly, this place literally blew away my expectations. I was expecting some backroad beat up inn that no one really would want to stay at. Chaparral Motor Inn is an absolute true gem! The rooms were beautiful, clean, and looks like they just completed some sort of renovation. The room smelled the absolute freshest, like you would expect at a 5 star hotel, and even though there was a farm/field across the road you wouldn’t know it from inside the room. I liked the fact that you could park in front of your room with your vehicle being “right” there. The AC worked perfectly and the room was crisp cold. The bathroom was beautiful, you could tell they put slot of the work the touch sheen light on the mirror. The water in the shower was super hot (which I like) whenever I take a shower I like my temp to be around 110+ degrees, I was happy I could get it to my preferred level of comfort. The shower was beast, like the pressure is so strong it literally massages your back, that was nice after driving 10 hours. There was a huge fridge in the room and the largest TV I have ever seen in a hotel, larger than the one we have at home. The beds were comfy and cozy. I am completely blown away, I love this place and I can’t wait to return. The only negative is that it isn’t closer to where we live!!!!!!!!!!!! If your thinking about staying here, don’t delay, its a beautiful place with friendly and welcoming staff. We didn’t get to try out the breakfast but since there was a McDonald’s across the street we really wanted there coffee and a McGriddle. Lol seriously, stay here, it’s that flippen nice.

WISH YOU WERE CLOSER TO VT!

We were not disappointed and found the room to be clean, comfortable and convenient. Liked the fact you could just pull up to your parking spot in front of your room , no lugging belongings through a lobby and up an elevator. The bed was comfortable and the owner upgraded us from a Queen to a King without a request. Inside newly updated vanity, bathroom vanity separate from shower and toilet. The vanity section has been updated but the shower -area has not but it was clean, worked well ,no mold etc.

When we first pulled up to the motel, we were a little nervous as the outside looked a little worn but once we saw the room, we were very happy. It looked to us that the owner was actively updating the motel and they are working on the outside , so don’t not judge a book by its cover.

The motel isn’t located next to the interstate with the traffic noise, however it is less than a mile. so it’s easy to get to. The room has been updated, with modern features in the dressing room and new toilet and shower. The bathroom floors and walls are spotless, as though we were the first guests in the room. The tv is a new 50” flat screen high resolution screen. The dressing area has a new sink and modern, single handle faucet and a mirror that has special lighting for the ladies putting on their makeup. Did I already mention how spotless clean the room is?

I don’t have any negative criticisms about the rooms nor the hosts. We were welcomed with a smile and treated as though we were returning patrons.

Park in front of your room with additional area, next to each space, for loading unloading. Manicured lawn in front of each room. Room was very well lit with Cold Refrigerator, Microwave, and coffee maker. Large lighted mirror over sink. Thick plush towels near shower. Cleanest room I think I have ever stayed in. Food store with Deli and Starbucks right next door.

Surprisingly pleasant! Nice, clean, no odors. Although we didn’t stay for breakfast, we did enjoy the recommended “Dish Room” for dinner, a restaurant that is quite popular there with the locals, and now with us. There must be a real chef working there, adding to the surprise of our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we come back this way.

The mattress was too soft for us.

Loved the window shade, great picture and did not have to fight with a curtain and the air conditioner like in most places. Lots of light in the bathroom, loved that mirror. The coffee in the breakfast are was great, nice selection of different foods.

Fan in room with tub was loud, was the same switch as the light so had to turn it on to get any light. The microwave was missing out of our room, but there was space for it so figured they just hadn’t replaced it.

Room was exceptionally clean. The mirror was fantastic, never seen one of these mirrors before, even in fancy hotels. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfortable. Internet was great, lighting was great. Don’t know about the TV, we never turned it on. Plenty of pillows, towels and wash cloths. Room was quiet and we got a wonderful restful sleep. Would definitely stay again and would HIGHLY recommend. Oh and price and location was Fabulous !!

The room was one of the best rooms that I have stayed in for a long time. The staff was awesome and very courteous, the room was immaculate, and the basic continental breakfast was a pretty good addition. They even had an electric car plug in that was being used overnight. The room I was in was so quiet it was unbelievable. Spacious very clean room, a mini fridge, a flat screen TV, and the bathroom was very clean and well stocked. This will be my stay at place in Burlington every time I go from Kansas to Denver.

This was our second stay here driving across the country on I-70. The location is excellent just off the highway and we got a terrific price. The room was very clean like our last stay here. We really enjoy the eclectic decorations in the room. Our tradition is to pick up Thai food from the place up the road and some Colorado craft beer at the store across the street. Great way to spend a relaxing night to break up a long drive.

In the morning, twice, one of the staff unlocked our room and almost entered it without knocking a couple of hours before the check out time. Both times I spoke and he shut the door, and the second time he called "sorry" through the door. I think this happened because my husband took our car to get gas and coffee and they may have assumed we had departed. However, it would be far more professional if the staff would knock and call out "housekeeping" or something and wait a moment for a reply just in case the guest is still in the room like I was, especially since this happened well before the designated check out time. If it weren't for this experience, I'd have rated our stay a 10.

this was one of the friendliest hotels I've stayed at. It was without exception the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in, including many stays at 5 star hotels and resorts.
