Super 8 by Wyndham Yreka

I did appreciate the service I received from the office staff and housekeeping. And the parking was easy!

I was disappointed in the breakfast. I understand that perhaps the Covid precautions were the reason for the size of the Continental Breakfast. I have traveled to other places this year, and the Continental Breakfasts included biscuits, gravy, breakfast meats (bacon, sausage, etc.) When I went in the first morning, there was someone sitting and having breakfast, but the other tables had chairs on top of them. The gentleman finished his breakfast and asked if I would like to sit there, so when I went in the next day, I was told that the breakfast room was closed to eating there, and that I should take my breakfast back to my room to eat! It was that way for the rest of my stay!

Nice comfortable rooms. Usually I don't prefer to stay at a Super 8. A lot of times they are too stark and spartan. However, they have exceeded my thoughts here. From the room to the bed, everything was comfortable. The pillows were a little too stiff, but; that being said, I complain a lot about the pillows, they are never just right. The room had all the amenities one might expect in a higher priced facilities, microwave, refer, coffee maker...etc. Because of this danged old Covid I wasn't able to try out their food bar, maybe at a later time. They turned on the air conditioner, so it was nice and cool when I arrived. Refreshing for a very hot day. There is a nice Mexican Restaurant just across the street, if you walk there you can have many Margaritas without getting into trouble.

Property is less than ⅛-mile from the I-5 intersection (extremely convenient!). Property is also about 300 feet away from an excellent Mexican restaurant (Puerto Vallarta), across the street from a grocery store, and a 1-minute drive from a gas station. Simple, effective A/C unit. Very clean room. Good-sized, functional, clean refrigerator. Housekeeping (room cleanliness during stay) was outstanding (we stayed three nights). Parking was ample and is close to room doors. We enjoyed our stay. This Yreka Super 8 property is definitely above average for Super 8 hotels overall. If I'm ever in Yreka again I'll choose this Super 8 for my stay.

Shower head leaked pretty badly. Blankets a bit thin (not due to wear). Pillows small. Exhaust fan in bathroom not functional.

The location was easy to find, convenient. It was close to downtown.

It was fine. The price was reasonable. It had what we needed for a quick overnight stay. The breakfast was unappetizing, high carb. So we skipped it. The coffee eas pretty good.

I liked that the room was spacious. I liked that the room had a microwave and a refrigerator. I liked that the room was clean. I liked that there was a coffee maker with free coffee and the little packets of cream/sugar. I liked the free breakfast. I liked that the staff was very helpful and friendly!

The only thing I did not like was that - the hair dryer in the room needs to be repaired/replaced. I suppose that staff would not necessarily know this unless someone tells them... I guess guests should speak up if there is an issue which might not be noticed by the staff.

The clerk was polite and helpful; she asked me if I wanted downstairs or upstairs room. The location was convenient, and it was quiet and clean.

I wouldn’t count on the breakfast; cereal, waffles coffee, toast. No fruit left when I went at 8 a.m.

Very friendly and courteous checkin, explained hotel facilities, clean room, plenty of space, clean and well maintained bathroom stocked with bathing necessities. On-site Pool enjoyment “10” with warm travel temps! Refrigerator and microwave always appreciated for travel foods we brought with for travels. Thank you Booking.com and Super 8 for a great visit!

The Staff! I checked out and drove about 40 miles, stopped for coffee and realized I had left my money clip on the bed! I called and spoke to a young lady on the desk, she said she would retrieve it and when I arrived a young man on the desk had my money clip intact! Great employees! Thank you for hiring such great honest people!

large quiet rooms and nice beds. I slept well in this hotel. large parking lot which made it easy to park my pickup truck and my 16 foot trailer nice restaurant with good food next to hotel.

Fairly spacious room, good heating system and equipped with microwave and small refrigerator. TV menu was great; lots of choices! Property close to access of Interstate 5, grocery store and restaurants.
