Holiday Inn Express Visalia-Sequoia Gateway Area, an IHG Hotel

Location and friendliness of the staff. Room was great, well regulated air conditioner, size and having a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. Like the dispensers for soap, shampoo, etc. Hot breakfast a plus! Very secure, key card required for everything. Outdoor pool, laundry facilities, re-entry.

Room was clean but carpet was very dirty, walking barefoot after a shower and during packing, my feet and legs got very dirty. Water temp was way hot and hard to regulate. Breakfast was pretty much the same for the three days I was there, so popular it was hard to keep things full. Pancake maker was out of order.

everything went as expected but what made my visit even more enjoyable was that when i went down for breakfast the ladies working the kitchen made extra food for me and my family to eat after the food was all gone by 9:30am. We left the hotel rested and fed! what an experience!

I usually get a king size bed, but this time they offered me two queen beds for my girls and my wife and I. Unfortunately a queen size bed is too small for my wife and I next time I will make sure to get a king size bed.

Stayed for the night on our way to sequoia national park. Was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was ok but a lot of individually wrapped items. I know it’s easier, but I wish the hotel at least provided plates, cutlery and cups/mugs that could be washed and reused. So much single-use plastic and styrofoam is infuriating and needs to change.

We traveled to Sequoia National Park. Stayed here to rest after a long day. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. There is a swimming pool. We thought about it throughout the day. But once in the hotel, we did not go to it ;). All was good. I would like to commend the breakfast. It was great!

Everything was exceptional, a lot of plugs for devices, fantastic breakfast made fresh in the morning by 6:30 am. Spacious room and great bathroom. Staff knew the area and Nancy gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Refrigerator in room yet drinks very cold.

Only thing they need an extra waste basket.

Clean and big room, comfortable beds, more than decent breakfast spread, convenient location, close-ish to downtown Visalia and highway to Sequoia National Park

Front desk is understaffed, on the first night there was only 1 person. Long queue for check-in and took time to provide assistance (towels, light bulb). Walls very thin, not sure what the upstairs folks were doing stomping around and we can hear the TV next door.

Loved that there was a hot breakfast included. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. We were happy to have laundry services available and everything was very clean.

We enjoyed the pool area but wished the hot tub was actually hot. They called our room a 2 room suite but it was actually one room with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa so was a little crowded for the 6 of us. For the price I thought we would be getting a little more space and probably shouldn't be called a 2 room suite if it is only one room.

The hotel is nice and clean. Which is expected from Holiday Inn/ Holiday Inn Express. Hotel Room felt roomy and overall clean and bed was so comfortable. I especially want to acknowledge the excellent hotel check in staff. So cordial and paid attention to the guest needs. We checked in after 2am after being on the road for about 7 hours. The Comforter is falling apart along the edges. The scarcity in the amount of towels reflects and harnesses hardship. The "not white" more of a "gray dingy" towels and are so hard, thought they were for floor mopping. CHEAP toilet seats that slam down. A little investment in hinged lids, goes a long way. Housekeeping Clean flooring along & under shower doors. Sit on toilet and you will sew how dirty track is.

The hotel seems new and everything was clean. The staff, and especially the lady working the night shift, Cindy, was really friendly. She even suggested a trail to hike at the Sequoia National Park. The hotel even has a coined operated washer & dryer, which was really convenient. Since CA is fully re-opened, the hotel served hot breakfast, and the pool & gym were open.

We are a family of 6 (4 young kids) so the room is a bit small for us. But the room has 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed to fit 6 people.
