Holiday Inn Express South Lake Tahoe, an IHG Hotel

It was good to have the breakfast included and the hotel is too close to heavenly. The staff is too friendly. The booking app made a mistake but the guy in the registration helped us a lot to gave us what we paid. I want to give thanks to a made roomer (I don’t know her name) she was so nice with us and she kept our room clean and with all necessary things.

We had a problem with the booking app. Our reservation was a large room with 2 beds but the app “booking” didn’t make the correct reservation. They gave us the smaller room with one bed and we are a family with 2 kids. That wasn’t the hotel fault it was the booking app fault.

Location is perfect. Very quiet. Happy the pool was open. Breakfast was great, best we had on our trip, and we stayed in 4 different hotels. Best coffee out of all of them. Beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked great in the room. Loved that they had built in J.R. Watkins shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

only thing I can think of to improve would maybe better trash bins next to the stairways. An animal (assuming raccoon but who knows) hit every trashcan we could see. We cleaned the one up by our room. It was after whatever food was thrown out.

Location was great. Close to Heavenly village and restaurants. We did a lot of walking during our stay which we loved. We had the 2 queen bed suite with a fireplace. That was nice especially since it was freezing outside. It kept us nice and toasty. Lots of room with a separate living room and dining room. The kitchen had a decent fridge, microwave and table to sit on. Lots of cabinets and a bar with chairs. Breakfast was ok. Not a big selection but was glad to have my coffee. Staff was pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

More selection for breakfast. Also a little more lights around the property would be nice. Especially at night. One of the blinds in the bedroom was broken from the previous guest. It would have been nice if that was fixed before we arrived

Breakfast was served in a to go bag. Person asked what you wanted, from muffins , sausage biscuit , cereal & milk, yogurt and fresh fruit. Coffee was very good.

We stayed 4 days and clean up crew never made the beds or cleaned. They gave us trash bags to put trash out. We went to front office to ask for clean towels.

Lovely and accommodating front desk made us feel very welcome. Everything was easy and smooth for checking in and out. Clean rooms, ample provisions, daily cleaning. We were provided with plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, along with coffee, tea, and a couple snacks. The shower wasn't slippery and had dual showerheads. Close to restaurants and shops but not noisy. Free breakfast was a plus. Spa bath was clean and had plenty of towels.

The only thing was that our bathroom door lock was not working but that should be an easy fix. The door still closed with no issue.

Very good location, extremely nice and helpful staff. Easy to find and close to everything but for much less price. Hotel is very clean, only one note is the cleaniness of the carpet is not what we expected but everything else was great

The carpet in the room requires a very deep cleaning, it is simply not clean

Location was great, staff as well. During a blizzard the access to our car and the road out was cleaned daily. Amazing people working here.

Breakfast was good, but there weren't any carbs. Potatoes, hash browns etc. were missing. Bisquits and gravy every day did not replace a starch option.

Breakfast was quite good. Location was great as it was very close to beaches, shops and restaurants. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Staff members and employees were quite friendly and helpful.

There was nothing that we didn't like. For a mid-range hotel it was very well maintained.

the location was within walking distance to all things to do in South Lake Tahoe. Staff was friendly. The room was cleanly and offered great relaxation. fireplace was amazing and loved that it was double sided for the room and bath tub. Bath was great and water pressure great. Property was very clean, quiet and easy access. Also offered a good selection for breakfast.

the a/c was not as strong as I would prefer.

The room was very clean, and the King-sized bed was very comfortable. Great central location. We stayed for a concert and were able to walk to the venue.

The staff were polite but had poor communication and social skills. They did not inform us that the TV wasn't working until WE said something after checkout. The check in time being 4pm is very late and inconvenient.
