Motel 6-Sacramento, CA - Old Sacramento North

Good sized room. Warm and clean. Good shower with plenty hot water.

If on the back side ots next to a busy highway so for light sleepers ask for a room at the front. Slthough only 25min walk from Amtrak station, its really located for arriving by car. Approx 10 similar motels clustered together but only eating options within walking distance are a drive through MavDonalds and a Mexican restaurant which I used both nights and was fine.

The air condiitoning and TV both worked very well. The bed was spacious and there was a mini-fridge and microwave, which was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the vending machines in case I needed a drink or snack without leaving.

The toilet was pretty small, but usable. My biggest complaint would be the light at the sink; it was INTENSELY bright and was blue light as well, so it blinded me every time I needed to use it, especially at night.

Staff at front counter was super friendly and welcoming...I think her name was Rayonna? Room was clean and facility quiet. Parking was within keycard access gate, so that was reassuring since its downtown. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

There's $100 deposit, which I get, but it's inconvenient as I don't carry cash. ATM next door and across the street, so not too bad.

Very Quiet. By Downtown Sacramento and the River.

Not within walking distance to stores, shoppes etc have to walk up the road.

i did not like having to pay a $100.00 cash deposit. it blindsided me and i had to use an atm and pay an extra fee. i have never encountered this at a motel 6. i looked at an email reminder sent before my stay (after i was back home) that said there was a $50.00 deposit(not $100.00) i did not pay attention because a deposit was never required bebore. boo

The room was very clean, and the property was gated

Most of the staff is pretty nice. One guy could use an attitude adjustment or maybe he just had a bad day. I don’t know the people in the room next to us partied quite a bit, but no one bothered us.

Convenient for where I needed to be

My door handle was hard to open, I told them and they were quickly starting a work order. The grounds were free of liter and garbage. So, I would recommend and come back for another stay.

Comfortable room, great mattress, very clean--and staff were friendly and helpful.

There were quite a few sketchy-seeming people hanging around the property, and perhaps even staying at the property. We had no bad encounters, but it put some people in my party on edge.

that it was late when I got there and early when I left for the airport - especially since that flight (after a cancelled flight the night before) was delayed four times - I could have slept later lol!

overall my stay went well. we were in town to buy a car, which took an extra day than we thought. the staff was friendly and it was no problem to extend our stay another night. pets stay at no extra charge which is also nice because we had to take our dog. the rooms are clean and the bed is comfy.

the only issue i had with them is i selected a nonsmoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes. the motel is also right next to the freeway so it got a little noisy but that didn't bother us too much
