Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn

Everything was great it was nice and clean and the staff was great it was close to everything.

We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary and the first night was great nice and quite. For some reason they place a family with kids next to us on the second night. needless to say we were not happy!! we called to tell the front desk if they could call them and tell them to keep it down as it was 6 am!! The lady at the front said you want me to do what!!??? next time will make sure to tell them do not place kids next to us that are running up and down the stairs at 5 am and bouncing off the walls. The parents were yelling at them right outside our door and patio. Other then this it was amazing and we will be back!!!

Staff friendly and efficient; very clean; nice room with baloney. Smooth and efficient checkin. On both days an elk turned up at our balconey and just stand there. What a wonderful experience.

Breakfast very basic, but that's to be expected. Incovenient restaurant timings. We watched the sunset against El Capitan and when we returned, the restaurant was closed. Very, high room taroff. Our stay for three persons and a dog, was $400 a night. Very cheeky! I can stay in a 4-star hotel in Manhattan for that price. Still, it's a nice property and I would go again, maybe weekday rates are lower.

Font desk ladies very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful in answering all our questions, volunteering information regarding Yosemite, local super markets, etc. The folks serving breakfast and table clearing staff were extremely pleasant as well. Breakfast was a 12+++ Clean room, fluffy towels, awesome housekeepers --- WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME AT THIS PROPERTY!!! Can't wait to return. The gentlemen (maintenance/Mr Fix-it people) in the golf carts very friendly too!

Maybe pressure wash the steps and walkway outside the hotel doors.

The room was so cosy, I was staying on my own so was important that I felt safe. I absolutely felt safe here as it's like a little community within a town. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly at all times which is much appreciated. It was great to have the laundry services available to me too. After a day of hiking in Yosemite, it was great to come back to the comfort of the hotel.

The breakfast wasn't great so if you are looking for a delicious meal in the morning then probably not the best place to get it. There were a lot of options and I didn't get to try everything so can't be too harsh on it. Also, the TV facilities were quite outdated, it would be great to have netflix option on the tv.

Breakfast was very good. Staff went out of their way to provide good service.

Menu in restaurant is mainly on their web page. Annoying to have to configure phone for wifi and scan the qr code. Scroll through menu sections on small phone screen to get to entrees is annoying. Paper menu is available, but doesn't have all choices on it. Perhaps have menu on a large screen near the front so multiple items can be seen at once.

Gorgeous looking hotel, convenient location. Our room had 2 windows on both sides of the room, the sunrise was beautiful. Comfortable and clean rooms, clean bathroom, TV. The staff at the reception was friendly and efficient. They also have a restaurant on their property that you can dine in and have morning breakfast. The breakfast was very good! One con for us was the pillows - too firm and too high to our taste. Other than that it’s a nice hotel.

Great location for heading into Yosemite. Took approximately 1.5hours to get into Vernal Fall area. Oakhurst is a pleasant town with supermarket and other local shops. The hotel restaurant does excellent food and cocktails and is always lively and busy with good atmosphere. Pool and Spa (jacuzzi) were perfect for aching legs after hiking in the day. Room size was great for us - a little old fashioned, but perfectly clean and charming.

The room size and location of the hotel was perfect. We've been staying in San Francisco in a 5* hotel and we were sad to leave the Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn to head back. We've decided to head back in the future to make greater use of the area and pools etc. Staff were really nice and the whole place was like a mini tropical escape.

Sadly we had damaged bath/shower, when you put the shower on the taps on the bath came flying off with the pressure. Luckily no one hurt and my partner had showered prior to me. We had a short stay stop and were checking out that morning so it wasn't such an issue. Any longer and we would have requested to change room. These things happen and we informed the staff on check out. They were extremely apologetic and thanked us about informing them rather than just leaving it.

The whole concept and layout of property was awesome, very well maintained. Breakfast was great and multiple pools with hot tubs was great features too. Rooms are fully equipped. Located within walking distance to plenty food and shopping options. Trolly on the hour also a plus for getting around. Superstars!

Wish the exercise room was 24hr accessible.

It was overall beautiful, I was seeing other best western inns and none were as nice and layed out as the one we stayed at. we will come back and stay again.

The big hills to walk up, but that’s only bc I have medical issues but on the other hand, u can’t get the view we had if it was not higher up like it was. Everything was perfect, maybe get softer towels for the customers to use they were not the softest, thsts it’s just better towels, we loved the hotel
