High Desert Motel Joshua Tree National Park

This place is absolutely great. It just keeps it simple, yet provides you with everything you need. You'll have a fridge, a microwave, a clean bathroom, a comfy bed and enough room to keep your stuff and still be able to move. Check-in and check-out were super easy and the price is totally right for what you get. Even though its close to the main road, its noise isolation is good and you don't hear the road at all. Joshua Tree National Parks Visitor Center is just a short drive away, so this place makes a great headquarter for exploring the park. Highly recommended, stay here if you want to go to Joshua Tree NP.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The price was excellent and the location is right outside the west entrance to Joshua Tree National Park! The room amenities and furniture were great, we used the fridge, the coffee maker, the breakfast table, the desk, and the spare bed. The showers were hot and high pressured, which were great after a long day of hiking. The staff was also friendly and gave us extra cups when we asked for them. For the price and what you get, this place is hard to beat.

We don't have anything negative to say; we liked this place and had a wonderful time on our trip.

This was really good quality for the price. The place was clean and had all equipment (cofee machine, fridge, etc.) it was a bit too cold for us to use the pool, but i guess it may be nice addition in the summer. The location was perfect, close to the shops, 'city center' and Josua Tree park. Big safe parking and some recreation tables in the garden was also a plus, there was even some spot for a grill. I would definitely stay there again.

This is obviously not a new, modern, fancy hotel, but it has everything you need in the journey, so definitely does a job.

Friendly staff; clean; very comfortable mattress.

The dead-bolt lock didn't work, and the lighting was very icy eh white. Replacing the cool bulbs with warmer temperature bulbs would be a very easy and inexpensive way to make the rooms feel cozier and of higher quality. (I.e: kelvin temperature 2,700k to 3,500k*). good location, easy parking. upstairs room had great heating / air con, awesome hot shower and really comfy big bed. great value for money room for one night. only had two small pillows but I asked for two more and the manager gave them to me without question. we weee there when greater LA had very cold winter blast so we used the heater often and watched snow falling so we didn’t see or use the other facilities.

maybe some cold milk in the fridge would have been good.

Wonderful location for visiting Joshua Tree NP and very reasonable rate. There were some interesting repairs to both a counter and bathroom floor, and it wasn’t the Ritz, but it was quiet and comfortable with a good AC and shower.

My only complaint was the motel’s insistence on room service, whether one wanted it or not. We neither wanted or needed it and put a do not disturb sign on our door, yet we returned to find staff had entered anyway and serviced the room, altho new towels were not added.

A well-remodeled older facility with nothing wrong with it at all. It was exacty what I was looking for and it met my expectations.

I had to haul the luggage up steps as there was no elevator. The door latch barely engaged in the strike plate, but they fixed it immediately when I asked them to. It seemed to be impossible to turn the TV on to network television.

It’s a pretty standard economy motel. The room was very clean. The location is very close to Joshua Tree National Park entrance. The motel had a coupon for local eateries and we had Indian food from the restaurant next door which was really good.

The staff left a few voicemails before my arrival which were kinda aggressive… The messages both said you must call us back and tell us the exact time of your arrival. We weren’t sure of our exact arrival so we just gave a large window of time.

Only a few minutes drive from Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center, and Park entrance. The room was affordable, clean, quiet, the bed was comfortable if you like firm mattresses, and the view of the mountains was great. There is not much going on in the town of Joshua Tree in terms of entertainment or dining - so if you do not mind driving a bit more than stay in Yucca Valley which has more to offer. But if your goal is to get to the Park as quickly as possible, then this is a great option for your money.
