Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge

Love the location. Accessible to freeways. You can get to San Francisco, Oakland, or anywhere else in the Bay Area fairly quickly. Rooms were nice for the price point. Staff was welcoming and attentive. Lots of kickback space downstairs, and the restaurant and bar are great perks. Although we didn't eat there, we saw the portions and they are huge.

$25 a night parking was a little expensive without a parking alternative. Although I love the 14th floor, having maid handcarts sitting outside your hotel room door constantly and a weird coned off area we had to stare at everyday is a little off-putting and takes away from the appeal of the hotel. Makes it feel a little Motel6-ish.

Hilton Garden Inn provided an excellent breakfast, a great bar & grill. Its staff provides great service. The staff did everything possible to make one’s stay pleasurable. The rooms are excellent with great beds, bathroom, desk & wonderful programming with big screen TV. Hilton Garden Inn offers great access to Emeryville Marina, Emeryville Amtrak, & Emeryville’s Powell Street Station (Mall) & 3 block walk to AC Transit Bus Stop that offers direct one way transportation to MacArthur BART Station.

Hilton Garden Hotel is ideally situated on Powell Street in Emeryville. It offers reasonable access to Emeryville Marina, Emeryville Amtrak Station, Emeryville Street Station (Mall) with excellent stores, it offers a superb breakfast menu, it has an excellent bar & grill, 3 blocks walk to AC Transit Bus service with one way access to the MacArthur BART Station & its location makes it very effectively accessible for Uber drivers. It is a wonderful Hotel for just about any traveler.

I liked the fact that checking was easy few simple question and a very friendly gentleman quickly got us to our room. The room was a nice size and not horribly tacky like most hotels are, enjoyed the fact that the comforter has a removable duvet so it could be properly cleaned. The bathroom was a good size and the double shower heads were a bonus. The location made it easy to get onto the bay bridge which was pleasant. Over all a great stay.

One of my main issues was that 3 of the pillow cases had women’s make up on them and the sink had beard hair trimmings in it. I expected my room to be cleaned a bit more thoroughly especially with pandemic concerns. I was nervous to travel as it stands and then to be met with a slightly unclean room made me a little uneasy. It was late I was tired and didn’t have the energy to go down stairs and speak with the front desk. I understand some areas in the hotel Service industry are shorthanded however I think cleanliness is one of the main factors I looked at one staying somewhere.

The shower was wonderful, the bed was comfy, the view (for which I paid extra) was wonderful. It was also very quiet, which is always important to me.

The pillows were not to my liking. I prefer firm pillows, and these were way too soft and smooshie for my taste. Luckily there were several up them to stack up.

From the moment I pulled into the parking lot I knew I had picked the best place to stay. The bathroom shower is made for tall people!!! You can shower in comfort!!! The shower head, BIG and lots of water pressure!! A BIG PLUS for me. Lighting inside and outside is perfect! My car was safe in the parking lot, bathroom handicap accessible!!!! Oh yeah! A giant flat screen TVs! Elegant! Absolutely Elegant! Inside and out! Perfect view all the way around Breakfast was perfect, with great choices…considering am vegetarian. ♥️ The service desk person was so very helpful, and answered all my questions about where I could go, things to do, and if I needed anything. Woser our room attendant was the best. Every day I’d get a text asking if there was anything he/she could do to make my stay more comfortable. Wow! I love it! I’ll be back and I will gladly spread the word about the best place to stay. Cleanliness 100% comfort 100% quietness 100% staff 100%

I could not open the windows for some fresh air. In these days of the pandemic I would have preferred fresh air to air conditioning, since the latter circulates common air.

Our hotel in sf was cancelled without our consent due to sf regulations, so we booked this place last minute. It was so much cheaper and definitely way more worth the price. It ended up being a blessing in disguise because the rooms were so clean and remodeled! The location was perfect as it was close to the freeway to sf, so it only took us 13 minutes to sf with no traffic. I’d definitely opt to stay at the Hilton inn again instead of in the middle of crowded sf. Parking was only $17/night compared to what I would’ve paid for the hotel in sf, which was $40/night! Great deal!

The windows of the room could not be opened. In these days of the pandemic I really did not want to use air conditioning, circulating the common air, and would prefer to get fresh air from outside.

Staff was excellent!

Parking fee; Breakfast is a bit pricey; Would like to see more weight training machines in the fitness center (I'm a professional fitness trainer :=)). Also it was a bit noisy on my floor (9th, mountain view), which was unusual this go round. We've stayed here several times before and this was never an issue.
