Inn at Carnall Hall

The room was plain but exceedingly comfortable with a comfy bed and refrigerator, lovely jetted tub and broad shower head. Mis Ella's breakfast was excellent, all fresh food. Walking the campus was terrific, well kept and lots of walks, interesting buildings. And it's a very short walk to town. Good Thai restaurant is a short drive.

The bar was a bit dark and drab with TVs everywhere, but its summer and there were very few guests. The only real problem I had was with the coffee in the Inn....very bitter.

On campus

The restaurant was closed on Sunday for dinner but I enjoyed what I ate at the bar. However, it was also closed on Monday for breakfast with no food available but coffee. I then learned Ella’s is closed permanently as about a month ago, on Mondays and Tuesdays for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which was disappointing. Had I stayed Monday night, I could have eaten again in the bar, which is good food, just the same menu from the night before and not many selections. I would like to see that reopened! No complaints other than no breakfast options Monday morning!

Very pretty room with a great bed!

Air conditioning couldn’t keep up and the room was very humid - the unit is high on the ceiling and through the night it dripped water all over our things on the table/desk sitting directly below it. Ella’s Table restaurant…service ok, food NOT good = left feeling very unsatisfied and still hungry even though the check suggested we feasted…skip it and go elsewhere.

I liked the historic feel "old world - classic style" especially after learning more about the history of the place. The bed very comfortable, good TV (which anyone can operate - I hate these new TV gizmos) great location, and wonderful tub/bathroom.

I think the breakfast menu was pretty uninspiring.

bedside lamp and charging socket turned off with main switch so it wasn’t possible to have bedside light on alone or charge phone overnight beside the bed - but a minor quibble!

It was a perfect location for what I needed, with great food options onsite or 5 minutes away by foot. The inn was quite charming and the staff was incredibly friendly. The inn’s history along with the decor make it a wonderful place to stay.

I wish the windows could’ve opened.

The Christmas Eve dinner was extraordinary. Our Old Fashioneds were the best we have had in a long time! This is such a special place to stay. The staff makes you feel like family and it is evident that they love the Inn as much as we do.

The view was not good at all.

Everything! Friendly staff, great location, the amazing quality and comfort of the room. There is nothing wrong with this location. The perfect stay.

Fabulous location and beautiful facility. Bed was SO comfortable!

My specific room this visit was smaller and noisier (elevator shaft nearby?) compared to previous stays.

Great location on the Arkansas campus. Convenient parking. Courteous staff. Very comfortable bed and linens. Charm found only in 19th century/early 20th century buildings. Very good bar with good food and drink. Very good, affordable breakfast.
