Homewood Suites By Hilton Anchorage, Ak

The room was very nice, but too expensive. We had to leave early so didn’t get to have breakfast

We arrived before check in time, so had to wait for a room to become available. That was fine. The clerk on duty said she would let us know when it was ready. However she went off duty. The new clerk knew we were waiting, but did not notify us. When we went to ask her about our room, she said she didn’t know we were waiting! Then she assigned us a room that was in the process of being cleaned! When I requested another room, she refused. The head of housekeeping told her not to assign rooms unless they were already cleaned but she ignored that. Top hi was the only clerk on duty at 3:00 when people were checking in so she was very curt to me when I requested another room We did wait for the assigned room and it was very nice.

We have stayed here before and really like the rooms and the staff are always friendly and happy to help.

The prices were extortionate for the time of year, same as other Anchorage hotels. The breakfast needs to run longer than 9am as items ran out quickly and people had to make do with mixing what was left - one person could only get eggs and strawberries.

I liked having a kitchen and separate bedroom area. The hot tub is enormous and I loved that.

Room was not restocked when we arrived. We had to ask for cups, towels, sheets for the sofa bed.

The staff was friendly and the room and bed was clean as well as comfortable! i decided to stay here because it had a jacuzzi and unfortunately it was not working when we arrived! so that was a huge disappointment! it would have been nice to know on the reservation because I would have stayed somewhere else.

chips, wrappers and crumbs in the hide a bed, no bedding, hot tub was cold, breakfast was cleaned up and gone at 9. we had no idea we needed to hurry…

Homewood suites was close to the airport. We took a taxi from the airport. The ride was about 15 minutes and cost $16.

I could not figure out how to call the hotel from baggage claim. My cell phone has a German SIM. All other hotels were listed on the hotel shuttle board but I couldn't find Homewood Suites listed on the board. Anyway, walked outside and got a taxi.

Breakfast was good, looking forward to the time when coffee/hot water kiosk available to guests outside normal hours, or make coffee/tea more available to visitors.

Limited access to coffee, hot water, tea. Yes, front desk was great, but it was a 15 minute task to get outside breakfast hours

Location and shuttles to airport and downtown. Great breakfast -healthy and fresh. Vet friendly helpful staff.

Property has been updated and is clean.

Breakfast…eggs were like rubber and there was no sour cream or salsa available.

Location was good. I was able to find breakfast items I liked, even in the last hour available.

I wish the lower lobby (entrance) was brighter.
