Days Inn Montevideo

I liked the breakfast buffet, but the options were limited to cold food. I thought the location was excellent. The hotel is located on the backside of the bus depot. Above the depot are two floors of mall shops with a food court. Over all I found Montevideo to be walkable. Even at night on a side street, I never felt like my safety was in jeopardy. Italy Avenue goes between the hotel and the airport.

Many times I opted to take the stairs instead of the elevator. I never did figure out the bus system. When I tried to take the bus, even with cash for fare, I didn't have an essential bus card and online I couldn't find out how to get a bus card.

Nice hotel, best strategic location (close to the Central Bus Station). Nearby the mall and a lot of supermarkets and restaurants. Best quality/price ratio! Good facilities, somehow vintage. Very clean. Very helpful and nice staff. Good place for a bus transfer.

1998 year design.

A couple of minutes walk to the bus terminal (which is modern, with 24hr supermarket, shopping mall and food court attached). Spotlessly clean and comfortable room as well as access to spa and gym. The staff was always very polite and professional.

There are no written folders available in the hotel specifying e.g. spa use policies, breakfast times etc which requires multiple trips to the reception with every question (this information is not given during check in).

Wonderful room and location. Happy that Alvear Hotel was not able to debit my account and canceled my reservation. Was the way to book here. I liked the espresso in the morning served by reception. Great courtesy

Location. As well as just across the road from the bus station, only a 5 minute walk to the CE1 bus which shuttles frequently to the old town and shopping street. Everything good.

There was a kettle in the room but no tea/coffee provided. If this was done my rating would be up to 10!

I stayed just for a night because I arrived very late at coach station and had to leave early to take a flight, then location was great for me, but not if you want to visit the city centre. Beds are really comfy. View from the room was amazing. In general room was fantastic.

Excellent location. Directly behind Tres Crues bus terminal. The only thing is for safety reasons there is no access to the terminal from that street but it's just a five minute walk to the entrance. The bed was super comfortable.

The shower curtain got in the way while showering.

This is the place to stay if you need to be close to the central bus station. The rooms are clean, the building is good, and the staff was amazing. I speak Spanish, but they speak English if you need that. Loads of places to eat in the area, and there is a lot in the bus station if you need just about anything. They even hooked me up with a late check out.

Everything ok ! Bathroom perhaps a bit TOO small which makes moving about a little troublesome.

As I.ve just mentioned : The bathroom. Needs a bit of refurbishing and is TOO small !

The breakfast was delicious, the staff where wonderful, polite, respectful and helpful. The location is great, across from a shopping centre and a major bus terminal for long distance trips.

The show head wasn’t great, and not many towels in the room. Should have air freshener in the toilet. Lift was a bit bumpy and noisey.
