OYO Devine Beach Hotel, Westcliff Southend-On-Sea

This was my fourth stay at the OYO Devine Beach Hotel in Westcliff on Sea as the Other times that I've stayed there The hosts were very friendly and Polite if you needed anything all you have to do is ask. The room is a good size big enough for 1 or 2 people. The only let down for myself was the bed for me it was too soft but I know that's one it is impossible to do anything about. The Hotel is about 150yds from Westcliff Railway station, just down the road to the beech. It's a short walk to the Cliffs Pavilion. It's not far to walk into Southend or you take the train a two minute journey with C2C. If you're into walking there's a great walk along the Promenade from Leigh on sea right through to Shoeburyness as well as a long walk out to sea. Plenty for the kids to do, and plenty of good eateries for all tastes. I will be returning for the fifth time.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and accommodating. RONNIE AND SYLVESTER greeted us on our arrival and were so warm and welcoming. The hotel is basic but nice and clean and just what we needed. The other lady, sorry I can't remember her name, was so nice too, offering to help me down the stairs with my luggage as I was wearing a medical boot. Would definitely stay again. The bed was so comfortable, nice hot shower, room temperature perfect. Hotel in a leafy street location with parking bays right outside the door. No breakfast facilities but only a 5-10 min slow walk to the beach and some lovely beach front cafes and restaurants. Ronnie and Syvester are on hand to provide advice and recommendations. Ronnie also booked a taxi for us which was no trouble. All the staff are am asset to this hotel. We would definitely visit again. Their friendly manner means a lot to me. I am not keen on large hotels where you are just a room number. Thank you guys for making our short stay special.

Close to Cafe and great seafood restaurant , just 20mine walk along the beach to the adventure park . Myself and my boys enjoy our stay. We will stay again.

helpful staff quietness of the road good tv women who runs the place went out of her way to tell me where the local shop was turns out its by the station they have everything you could need inc cakes biscuits beer wine milk the lot cant fault it very good prices as well

bulding work outside of hotel may put people off tip for you dont get off at southend or southend crntre get off at westcliff cross the road and hotel is right in front of you train goes to southend its about 5 mins and is cheaper than a bus day return good for record hunting found good shop southend records run by a really nice chap the man who runs the shop as well even gave me a lift back to the station with all the records i bought thats customer service

My stay was super lovely! The room was so clean and the staff were beyond lovely. They are so friendly and were always willing to make me feel comfortable. I extended my stay 3 times because it was so comfortable and pleasant! The location was so great as well...near the beach and close to Nice restaurants. Loved it so much and definitely will be coming again!

I have extended my stay a couple of times now at OYO. Its been so so amazing here. The staff will go above and beyond for whatever you need and are really supportive if you are not local and need to know your way around Southend. My room was super clean and always well kept. Was attracted to the location the most as its just by the sea! Will definitely be coming back again!

Staff were friendly and very helpful, and were able to allocate us a ground floor room as requested. The room was spacious and very clean and the bed comforfortable. Ensuite bathroom seemed newly installed and also very clean. Proximity to the beach, Cliff Pavilions theatre and some nice restaurants, all within walking distance.

Reception area could do with brightening up to make it a bit more welcoming.

I booked a single room with shared bathroom but they upgraded me to an ensuite without extra fees. The most stand out point is that all the staff are very friendly and welcoming! I checked out late due to my sleeping problem, but the staff was understanding about my situation and did not charge me penalty fee which I am very appreciated.

Everything went perfectly well. Very lovely staff and good size en-suite bedroom. We will definitely consider to come back here for our next break. Due to Covid restrictions the breakfast service/buffet was closed but we had all we needed in the bedroom to have a hot drink and a small fridge to keep our food and drinks refrigerated. At the arrival, the room was well cleaned and ready for our stay. Free car park on site or if travelling by train the nearest train station is Westcliff and it is just at the top of the road (1 min walk).

Staff were lovely, everything was clean, happy to have tea in the morning. We were very close to the seafront. Didn't realise there was a £50 security deposit (might have been my fault), but luckily had the money in bank and got it back the next morning so all good.

Unfortunately the radiator wasn't on and we couldn't find a way to turn it on so was very cold, but otherwise lovely. Also the small bed lights were brighter than the main light.
