Staff friendly and efficient. Rooms spotlessly clean and well equipped. There was even a small ironing board! Lots of supplies to make hot drinks in your room including coffee, tea and delicious hot chocolate. There was also bottles of still and sparkling water as well as a good selection of biscuits. We had an evening meal there which was delicious. and we also had an excellent breakfast in the morning. Both were good value for money. The car parking is very easy, being right next door to the pub and it is situated a short walk form the estuary and Victoria Park

Nothing really.

Location is excellent for viewing boats coming into Southampton and for dog walking round Netley. Staff were helpful and friendly although very busy. Seemed to be one person behind the bar and one taking meal orders, waiting and then clearing tables. Despite being busy they were very efficient. We like the fact they welcome dogs and don't charge extra. The room although small was very clean which is a huge plus.

Been before and had a lovely room. This time we had one which was very cramped and the en suite was small . Good shower but could have had more access to the toilet.

Very good choice of cereals, full breakfast was very good. Only minor issue , you had to pay more for an extra cuppa. Not a problem at all. The location is superb , from the village is coastal paths with Nettley Abbey very close by. Really good location, a little further past the prince consort is Victoria Park with history attached to it , just wonderful, perfect for a good walk. We were going on a cruise ship the day after and it was amazing to see the cruise liners in port and to go past us. They state the rooms are compact, but facilities in the room are very good.

We found the location very useful for our needs. the staff were very good and the atmosphere was very friendly. we would recommend The Prince Consort not only for friendly atmosphere but also the food served was of a decent standard and breakfast was very yummy to. if we are back in the area again we would have no hesitation in booking The Prince Consort again.

The room was very basic but it did serve our needs. the mattress i thought was a little bit tired but the wife found it ok so make of that what you will.

Comfortable clean room. The room was situated in a row of bedrooms just outside the pub nice and quiet.. Everything you needed for a lovely stay. Breakfast was lovely, cereal, fruit juice, yoghurt, and lovely cooked breakfast with toast, jams and tea/coffee. Will definitely stay again.

We travelled from Wales and was looking forward to relaxing at the pub and having a evening meal. Was told the kitchen was closed till Monday. Would of liked to have been for warned so we could of eaten before arrival. Luckily all turned out well had lovely fish and chips from the jolly frier and ate them in the little park with lovely sea views. Would stay again besides little hiccup.

Acknowledged/Greeted upon arrival, despite the bar being busy, room was clean and catered for our needs. We had both evening meal and breakfast and didnt disappoint. Drive to the cruise terminal about 15 minutes, although worth noting if football is on then allow least an hour Someone previously commented about hauling luggage up 2 flights of stairs, which we were worried about due to travelling with elderley relatives, no need to have worried as these were 2 very short flight of steps and proved no issue.

No light by foothpath to accomodation block,

Location is very handy for the water front to see ships entering or leaving Southampton. The pub is busy with locals but not overcrowded. Very pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. Excellent breakfast for a property in this price range. Short drive into Southampton city centre.

Our double was two singles pushed together, this is not usually an issue but one had a bit of a dip so we slept at different levels.

The location was good. Near the cruise quay and a lovely park on the Solent. Very good breakfast. Good selection on the menu for dinner. Nice garden area to sit outside and hav a drink.

We were in room 6 which was up two flights of stairs. We had two large suitcases which were difficult as the stairs are quite narrow. However, a member of staff helped us. A room on a lower floor would have been better. Also the area leading to the car park and the main pub (the rooms are in a separate building) is quite rough, so difficult to wheel suitcases and would be difficult for a wheelchair too. Though Pepe the landlord is very efficient he could have smiled a bit more!

Room. Ours was a small twin room. It was fine for a 1 night stay before our cruise, and the beds were very comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the Prince Consort and the food was excellent - quick service and great portions.

The Prince Consort is a pub with the accomodation in a separate block behind the pub itself. So we'd assumed that the rooms would be less affected by any noise for the pub. Not quite. The pub has a covered outdoor seating area with seats for about 20+ people. The outdoor area is about 6 feet from the accomodation block and only partially screened by a fence. Our stay coincided with the Jubilee weekend, so the outdoor area was lively until 10.40pm, Luckily we didn't need to make an early start, otherwise the noise would have been a problem.

it’s advertised as a Hotel. I would describe as a Pub with rooms. Having said that, our beds were really comfortable with lovely pillows, and I had the best steak I‘ve had for a long time. The barman, who seemed to be “front of house “ as well and who showed us to our rooms was friendly and efficient, as were the staff at dinner. I have already booked for the same weekend for next year. I highly recommend.

Not a lot.
