The location is a little out of the way of the main town, but on a quiet street with well-preserved historical architecture and interesting little shops. The hotel itself is very attractive - clean, with well-considered decor and original art. The grand guest sitting room was a lovely surprise! We stayed for two nights but would happily have stayed longer.

Lovely clean room and public areas. Large bathroom with excellent walk in shower. Comfortable room, with furniture chosen to suit the age of the property. Car parking available nearby (chargeable), or on street.

There was no wardrobe in the room, and only one peg on the wall with 2 clothes hangers. Staff provided extra hangers on request, but when staying anywhere for more than one night, guests should be provided with hanging space as well as drawers. Breakfast was a little disappointing - cooked options are only available Weds - Sunday, so guests staying Sunday/Monday night are restricted to the simple continental breakfast. This is not clear when booking.

Comfortable room, having read reviews complaining about the lack of breakfast we found out to be perfect for what we needed and the service was very good.

The hotel was deserted when we arrived and for long periods during the day. There was no offer to clean or replenish the room. We were only there 2 nights and I'm sure if we'd asked it would have been fine, but no one mentioned it either way.

I was really happy with the Falstaff. It’s a beautiful street and a hop, skip and a jump to the sea. The room was perfectly comfortable and roomy. Great sized bathroom. Staff were really wonderful, helpful, chatty and friendly. I was really pleasantly surprised by this place which was found pretty much at random and at the last minute. If you want to be in the smart part of Ramsgate, close to everything you’d want to see and with charming staff come here!

The rooms are really lovely and well presented. Even though we arrived in the evening after all the staff had left we got into our room without a problem and found everything we needed. Then in the morning when the staff were on hand they were just perfect. so accommodating and really friendly. As i had to work all day, even after check out, until my son finished school in the afternoon, the staff allowed me to use the staff common room all day and i got loads of work done!

I did find the stafflessness a little weird. I did need an extra blanket, as was sharing a bed with my son and even though hes still small he does steal the covers! So wanted one each. However there was no-one to ask and nothing could be done. I managed to improvise so it was all good, but just strange being left to our own devises.

My only issue was my own fault but i would still stay in the same room again, I chose the room with private garden which backed onto the outdoor area, just be aware that the other guest use this garden so it may become a little busy right outside your window from about 8am, nobody can see into your room as the public garden is down a level so you still have privacy but you can hear noise only

The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room was warm and spacious with a long view. Plenty of refreshment sachets. The bathroom definitely lacked a decent size surface on which to put toiletries etc. The one cooked breakfast was extremely good. The other two were continental.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to use the shower. No shower cap provided so wanted to use the spray attachment but no idea how it worked. I asked a staff member to look at the end of the shower which kept falling off and to explain to me how the spray attachment worked. It wasn't mended and I received no note of instruction.

Nice quiet location in a beautiful old property with super friendly staff . The homemade granola for breakfast was sensational, plus the best ever Americano coffee in Ramsgate.

Unfortunately our room was not prepared and cleaned properly. Even after we complained after our first nights stay the issue was not resolved. We received two bottles of water and a cooked breakfast in compensation?

Room 5 has an amazing bath AND separate shower, the staff are lovely. I accessed the property out of hours and it was really easy, and felt incredibly safe as a single female. The room was lovely and had a range of biscuits, tea coffee and water. Bed was comfy, with feather pillows, and you could open the window if it was warm (the only downside to this was being woken by the seagulls in the early hours of the morning, but as a sound I am used to not a problem for me!) Parking is really easy, but I recommend booking a space in advance, so they leave a post down for you. The wifi code is in the bar if you need it.

Continental is very basic, cereal, tea/coffee and toast or a croissant, but there is a full breakfast menu if you want more for an additional cost (I had the waffle, which was delicious and exactly what I needed after a stomp along the beach!). Breakfast is at a leisurely pace, so I recommend enjoying it, or going down early.

Room not cleaned daily had to request clean towels Staff go home around 6pm, no one around after that, was a bit odd on arrival to find ground floor in darkness and then having to find our room - bit spooky! Had to go and "forage" to get toilet rolls for room. Continental breakfast not very exciting
