Location is excellent Staff on reception and in the bar are excellent. Very helpful and nothing is to much bother for them they really do but their guests first .
The rooms are not clean 1.Toilet roll cover is in place but the holder is missing 2.Mould on bathroom tiles which is easily removed with the correct chemical . 3. Holes in the tiles . 4. Furniture is dated n scratched . 5.Tables in the bar require to be re-varnished . 6.The summer rates you are charging this is not good value for money .Customers are only paying for location . No standards .

The location is perfect. The staff very friendly. In the restaurant the staff were fantastic at ensuring my wife (coeliac) got the proper menu and left a little card on the table with details of the allergy. This was new to us but very welcome.
The rooms are starting to get a bit dated. Maybe a coat of paint or update the bathroom and beds in near future would be nice. Bed was a bit soft and creaky but still slept like a log..

I stayed at this Hotel over 24 thru 27 December as a Christmas holiday, and the breakfasts were very nice, Ulster fry with a selection of cereal, juice, tea and coffee. The staff were very nice and friendly. Also, on Christmas Day I had booked a Christmas Buffet for 6.30pm, so I thought Happy Days.
The Christmas Buffet was awful, only cold meats served with vol au vents, small Quiches, hot soup, cheese boards, and hot tea or coffee, no desserts. If I had known I would never have booked it as this was false advertising, as this was never a Christmas Buffet. Now, I emailed the hotel twice for their comments but never heard back, which is very disappointing indeed to say the least.

Hotel and room super, especially the sea view and the staff were soo friendly.. The hotel was soo close to all amenities and we could walk everywhere..
Only negative was the breakfast was spread over 2 floors and there were only steps which made it difficult for my elderly mum who is in a wheelchair.. she was offered a portable ramp but didn't wish to draw attention to herself... It would be perfect of one of the flight of steps was a ramp., Otherwise our stay was perfect..

The hotel is lovely and great value for money. It is a large hotel, well maintained (I usually look for the details) with comfortable beds, a great shower and spacious rooms. I will certainly return to this property. The location is amazing, right on the beach strand with restaurants and a lovely area to walk about.
Not all staff members were friendly. I think they need to work on being more welcoming. The door at night is locked but there is nothing indicating this. The man at the front desk saw me go out (to the car to get something) and when I came back, he watched me struggle with the door (in the cold and rain) for a while before getting up and coming to open it for me. That was the only negative experience in the property.

Location, location, location…
I know the weather has been gorgeous and rooms in high demand but this is the second time we stay here and we paid £66 extra fur the same room. We wanted to stay for an extra night but I refused to pay £220 for a normal, no extras double room 😳! The rooms are basic. Comfortable beds, TV and coffee and tea making facilities. Bathrooms are dated and need upgrading. We had breakfast last time we stayed and were not impressed so decided to eat out this time.

Good room, excellent sea view especially from the third floor, when you can see Scotland on a clear day. It's always disappointing to book a room then get a view of the carpark to the rear.
The bathroom light is automatic, and comes on when you open the door. Not great in the middle of the night when you're trying to keep one eye closed and staggering to the loo half awake, then you and anyone else in the room gets blinded by this immensely bright light... The music in the bar, two people on guitars, was dire. An interesting mix of songs which, no matter how they were originally, they managed to make them all sound exactly the same.

Location was very central with some bars / restaurants / coffee shops / shopping very close-by. We had a sea view room and checked in late on the first night so didn't see much, but was very pleased with the view the following morning. We had breakfast included and had plenty of options for hot or cold breakfast. We stayed in very early January so there weren't many other guests in the hotel, so the hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating which made our stay even better.
N/A - didn't spend too much time in the hotel for our short stay

Staff were extremely friendly - in every part of the hotel. This demonstrated a great understanding of how important this is in the hospitality industry. Food at breakfast was good quality and efficiently organised.
There is effectively no car parking (despite the info on the website saying that there is a free car park, available on a first come first serve basis). This free car park has 10 spaces for a hotel with 69 rooms! Would be better to simply say this rather than create a false impression on booking. There was a larger free car park available about 10 mins walk from the hotel, which was fine for us as we are perfectly mobile, but would not be particularly appropriate for anyone with mobility issues.
