This was our second visit after staying last October. The hotel is a short distance from the M1 in the town of Ossett with good, nearby parking in the hotel grounds. The Mews is a small hotel/pub used by locals. Good evening meal with a few other diners and other pleasant people in the bar. All staff very friendly and welcoming - very different from large, anonymous hotel chains. [They don't do the usual full breakfast menu, but adequate for us after the generous proportions of the evening meal.]

All fine.

The friendly staff The location near shops and town centre. The delicious food served in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and served. The room was quiet and comfy. Yet the pub and restaurant were just 10 yards away with plenty of music and buzz. Plenty of free parking for guests .Overall The Mews was excellent. It was exactly an English cottage inn with fabulous staff, excellent food and a very comfy and cosy ambience.

All good

We have stayed here several times before. The rooms are good and the service is excellent. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the bar/restaurant area. Breakfast was good although could have been better.

We stayed on a Sunday night and the restaurant closes early on this day. This is not a problem as there are several other places to eat in Ossett. For the first time, however, we had a room above the bar ... very noisy late into the night! Cooked breakfast is a little unusual. You can have a sausage or bacon sandwich or scrambled egg on toast but not sausage and bacon with scrambled egg!

The room was lovely, small but had everything I needed. Was looking forward to my "full English" so was a little disappointed when I was offered a sandwich instead (I am not a morning bread person) and the breakfast service felt a little rushed. The evening staff were so polite, a credit to the hotel.

Offer the full English breakfast. Offer was bacon sandwich, sausage sandwich, scrambled egg on toast or beans on toast. A bit of each on a plate and lose the bread would have worked.

Had a wonderful stay at The Mews in Ossett. I Was working away in Leeds and decided to stay outside the city and found this fantastic Hotel. Rooms were clean, modern and stylish and me and my partner slept well. The Hotel also had a pub/restaurant on site and all I can say is fantastic. From the staff who were friendly and welcoming, to the amazing ambience and to top it off the fantastic food. I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone visiting the area to give it a go. A big shout out to Paul (the boss) who was a real personality and had us smiling all night and also to Tan the barmaid who looked after us. A big thank you for making our stay so good.

Lovely setting, plenty of parking, great location if going to the Hepworth and YSP. Cozy environment with very good kitchen staff. Make sure you reserve a table for dinner before you arrive as they get very busy. Delicious fresh ingredients with a varied menu.

Too late now to make any adjustments but soundproofing should have been discussed during the refurbishment of the rooms. Rather disconcerting listening to someone urinating in the adjoining room from behind your headboard.

Food amazing and good value. Staff attentive but also leaving space so the meal felt relaxed and at a nice pace. The bar has plenty of atmosphere yet also felt relaxed. The staff were chatty with good sense of humour.

We stayed here as a stop-off while travelling so can't say much about the local area. With the accommodation and bar we didn't notice anything we didn't like. All was as good as expected or better.

Very comfortable, quiet and well equiped room Comfortable Bed as well.. Oh Yes !! Pub Resturant food had good choices and was very tasty The pub itself had a great ambience and staff & customers were very friendly Good sized car park too Happy with my Stay

If i wanted to be really picky... there was a little bit of muddy grime on the walkway between the pub and the room entrances.. So dragging the stuff in house on your shoes was eventually inevitable. Time of year.. mucky weather?? No complaints really

Great food service and location. However they no longer offer a full English breakfast instead there is a choice of breakfast sandwich or scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and sausage.

The rooms are a bit small but that is to be expected of a pub. There was no shaver socket in the bathroom. I had no problems connecting my phone to Wi-Fi but it was impossible to connect my laptop. A colleague at the same problem so perhaps this is due to a firewall issue with our company.
