OYO Chris's Motel

It was comfy and good value for the money. Close to walking trails and bus stops. Overall clean and warm. Don't expect too much after all it is cheap but it's perfect if you want to spend 1-2 nights in the area to walk around and just need a bed. It can get noisy so definitely bring ear plugs. If you're a woman traveller be aware you'll probably be the only one in the building, it is after all mainly a truck stop. That doesn't mean automatically anything bad will happen to you but it can be intimidating if you're not aware.

Room was smaller than expected but it was ok for 2 nights. They should consider maybe locking the women's bathroom so the lazy drunk men don't pee all over the floor. Most of them did keep it clean but alcohol impairs aim. I wasn't made aware by OYO there would be no staff on weekend and I'd have to call the owner when i got there. Luckily number is in the window at the cafe and owner is prompt to answer.

Affordable price. Perfect parking facility just in front of the motel. The staff made sure I was able to check in/access the room even though I arrived at 1am. Loved they had urinals. :) Meant no need to touch the toilet door or the flusher.

Showers a tid bit disappointing because the pressure wasn't the strongest, although the temperature was as hot as you wanted it to be. The sink in one of the shower rooms was a bit clogged which would mean you were likely to see someone's hair still there after they shaved or other bits that you don't want to see. Bathroom facilities didn't always feel clean. Tiny room but at the end of the day you can live with that if you're here just to sleep.

The room was clean and fresh, the windows were opened on our arrival. We had to contact the manager and he responded very quickly and professionally. The TV had a lot of channels. The shower was very powerful and the bathroom was very warm.

Some of the mattresses were a bit springy, but not uncomfortable.

Affordable room, good clean basic facilities. Easy to find, very helpful staff on the phone.

Sleeping with an open window meant I could hear the car wash next-door setting up in the morning. To be expected from a motel at a truckstop!

Close to where I need to be and the motorway. Staff are fantastic and really put themselves out to make sure I’m okay as I don’t get to the motel until after 10 pm. Bed is comfortable and the room is ample big enough. Great value for money.

Walls are a little thin so you can hear next door. However, nearly all people who stay are professionals so in bed early at night and up and away early in the morning. Which suits me too.

Had everything I needed

A leak in the ceiling of the toilets that dropped just where you stood for a wee! Possibly worth £10 less a night. Could perhaps leave/provide a bit more info about checking in/out.

The Coffe and the Lady who made it. But as far as I am remembering, everybody all of people who worked at the time, left me with a kind impression. WOULD STAY IN TOUCH for the next times.

There I liked, all, were nothing that I could name as Were Unlikeable.

Great easy place for a bed when you are travelling, staff are lovely and the price was great if you just want a low costing accommodation

If you dislike what you get for how much you're paying then just pay more for elsewhere, this is great value

Nice as regards the shower and sharing toilet make it a power shower to allow quick in and out by guest

Considering the price a little touch here and there but was good for me

It was just perfect. Great value for the money. Definitely recommending this for everyone when on work tours.
