Great Host, very friendly, Lots of TV channels to watch including Talk TV and GBNews unlike other Hotel chains, Peaceful location, Apartment well equipped, access easy from Car (like a Motel) nice accommodation, No Bath tub to soak and relax in after long tiring day, Nice Breakfast included, Unlimited Tea

Small things but ...Soundproofing was not really good enough for us - we could hear TV from other room/s. late at night. There was also no door on the Bedroom and an unusual designed hole in the wall to the lounge, which meant insufficient privacy and at night, it was too light as light was coming from the Lounge and especially from the Kitchen owing to translucent window blinds and bright Oven Display light.

Exactly what we were looking for after a long day at a wedding. Rooms are on the smaller size however have all the facilities required: bed, wardrobe, en-suite, parking and breakfast on site. Bed was comfortable and room was warm. With breakfast included, no concerns about needing to find anything the next day. I am coeliac and they were able to reassure me and accommodate to this. Very impressed. Owners were friendly and chatty, showing a real interest in our lives and our stay. Due to the wedding we needed an earlier check in time, after some emails, this was accommodated. A great welcome and engagement with the host throughout our stay when needed. We loved the hosted B&B. A cleverly designed and very clean room in excellent condition. Breakfasts were delicious and we also enjoyed a simple and tasty lunch in the tea rooms. We enjoyed dinner at two local pubs (very different) which were within walking distance.

It’s on a busy road, but that was only an issue when we arrived. Our room was well away from the road.

The room I rented was exceptional- a very comfortable arrangement for a couple. everything you needed to stay for a while. comfortable bed in an open plan bedroom to living area with a dividing wall for privacy. felt very open and airy with the beautiful doors in the living area open. amazing shower and a fantastic oven to cook if you didn’t want to take advantage of the tearooms many delicious meals- afternoon teas etc. the owners were amazing and there for any questions or problems to help out. amazing couple very friendly made me feel as if I was staying in a home away from home. beautiful walks surrounding the property and of course if you drive the amazing Forest of Dean. Taurus arts and crafts to visit for a latte and an amazing Sunday meal although the cakes are my favourite made by the chocolate factory on the site. amazing stay, lovely people-gorgeous surroundings and accommodation could want for nothing more.

The property was beautifully kept and spotless! The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you! Martin brought us up full length mirrors as they hasn’t been put up yet but he knew we were going to a wedding! The breakfast was delicious, really couldn’t fault it! The staff topped up drinks and continually checked we had enough!

There’s nothing we didn’t really like! I can’t say too much about the town as we didn’t really venture out much as it was just an overnight stay!

The room was small but comfortable, breakfast excellent, staff very friendly, cheerful and helpful. We were able to use of the tearoom in the evening, with drinks provided. Packed lunches and afternoon teas were also available and very generous.

Nothing negative to say, apart from the fact that the rooms were relatively small.

Martin, the host, was so very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I called him before our arrival and he suggested local places to eat and tips on logistics for getting to Chepstow racecourse. We were there to see Paloma Faith in concert as well as enjoying a fun time at the races. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was superb as were the ladies running the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay at the Swan House.

My partner and I felt very welcomed and looked after during our stay at the Swan Tea Room. The accomodations were exceptional and the facilities were plentiful. The breakfast was very good, probably the best we've had for a long time.

All in all this was a good stay. I haven't got any negative comments.

Best breakfast I have ever had from hotel guest house etc. Great location for exploring this area. Very close to Lydney railway station. Parking facilities were great.

I couldn’t fault this place. Very friendly warm and welcoming and extremely helpful couple.

Easy to find, very clean and fresh, cosy and comfortable. Lovely people and very accommodating (we were arriving very late and this was no problem). Great breakfast in a relaxed environment with very friendly and personable service.
