Days Inn Hotel Membury

2 rooms one room had double bed mattress great. Other disabled two singles Both rooms very clean, no issues. Enough space for a wheelchair in bathroom, to transfer to loo and get to sink. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff on desk.

Second room is adapted disabled, not a wet room, bath over shower with rails ok, second person if wanted to have a shower wouldn't have been able to get into the bath to have one. Disabled access, didn't realise that you needed to wheel individual from service station carpark to hotel, entrance is behind welcome break facilities, just awkward to load/unload car if have have several carry bags, advised able to bring car up to hotel which is mostly pedestrian walk way used, so wouldn't be ideal in the dark.

We stayed here as a family of 5 with a puppy as a half way point on our drive to Wales. The lady on reception (who I wish I had got her name) from the start made us feel so welcome. She asked where we were from and made a fuss of the children. She offered us a doggy treat for our puppy. Later on in the night my son became ill and she went above and beyond to make sure he and the rest of the family were okay. I know receptionists have a job to be welcoming but this lady really did put the stress at ease for us.

The beds were not comfy but that's a minor thing for the price.

Signage! We didn’t find the actual location of the hotel. We drove into the services, but couldn’t see any signs for the hotel. We drove around, and ended up in the lorry park. We were forced back onto the motorway and up to the next junction then back again south to have another go. Not happy. We found the hotel this time, but would strongly recommend that the hotel location was made more obvious by having the hotel sign/location lit properly. We found it all a bit confusing. Also I would recommend an explanation on the internet site about exact procedures regarding location of the hotel, and that car parking is not exclusive to the hotel but in the general car parking area and that once registered with the hotel, no parking fee will be incurred.

The breakfast was really good , even allowed me to take breakfast back for my partner who was having a sleep in.

There was no negative issues about our stay everything was fab, we turned up to try our luck with a room early hours in the morning and Rhys and his colleague was very helpful getting us a good room rate , would like to thank Rhys’s night shift colleague we forgot his name think it was Stefan , would like to give him an extra thank you for helping provide a cot at short notice and even set it up for us and made the baby’s bed. Very good service from both Rhys and Stefan they are both a credit to Premier Inn.

Perfect location, very quiet - a little difficult to find though. Park in main services car park - lane between Starbucks and main Serviced building leads to Days inn (we arrived at night the sign needs to be lit and we’re a bit slow!!!!)

Nothing - suited us perfectly. Sue on reception was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms aired, spotlessly clean, very. Indy bds. Vat back of hotel on first floor we slept with windows open all night and weren’t kept awake despite the m4 being so near.

This is a motel and is part of the services just beyond M4 Jn14 heading westerly. It wasn't in the best of conditions when I stayed in August 2022 but it was OK. The room was adequate and the bed comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were OK. The view to the rear was of no particular interest, but the staff offered their usual friendliness. Treat people how you wish them to treat you. The service station area is not glamorous but functional. There is a back-road to cross the motorway when traveling easterly from Swindon, instead of having to drive all the way back to Jn 14, ask at reception.

The entire complex needs a fresh coat of paint.

Great location, Services(Food) right next door. Staff was very friendly and nice ! I felt truly welcomed from the start. Room was decent size and very clean. It felt like a good deal considering what we paid. Our room could have slept four people easily. Drinks are available at the reception for decent prices. Once again my hat is off to the two ladies who served us at the reception, they were so friendly and welcoming. I hope to see them again soon, :)

I think this hotel has a lot of potential due to its location. Although the furnishings and décor are decent, I would suggest an upgrade. This way the hotel can earn back its investment by increasing the daily room rate.

Exceptional, friendly & helpful guy on reception. The room was exactly as required, very comfortable, great value. Easy parking. Restaurant for breakfast etc next door. Will definitely use this hotel again. Very convenient for M4. Would recommend getting instructions for getting to the hotel in advance if travelling eastbound on M4 as the hotel is on the westbound side of M4 - not a problem, it's very easy when you know how! Use the same route to cross back over to continue travelling eastbound.

The young lady on reception was most obliging we had a warm welcome check in was quick and efficient and she explained where we could get breakfast the following morning. The room was very hot and she arranged to have a fan available for each room once we returned from our evening meal She was just as pleasant the following morning when we checked out. She was a credit to the hotel The room was clean, the TV worked and we had all we needed for a one night stay

Because of the unusual hot weather It would have been nice to have had air conditioning bur there really wasn't anything that I didn't like

Overall, a very pet friendly and comfortable hotel at a service station. Price-value is extrodinary considering we booked the same day. The staff at the reception - without exclusion - is friendly and helpful. Everyone has always a smile on their face. Beds very comfortable and big. There is the possibiliy for guest of buying a breakfast voucher (appr. £7.95) for the nearby restaurant for a British Breakfast. We saved one £ with the voucher which is not too bad. Furthermore, there are snacks available at the reception as well as a microwave. Tea/coffee and kettle are in the room. We - and our dog - felt very welcome and enjoyed the short stay.

Cleanliness could be a bit better (the bathroom seemed to only have had a quick wipe) and the room needs some renovation (window handle was broken so we didnt open the window. Also new wall lights had been installed but the painting around it is not renewed). It is small things really, but they leave an overall impression of the room. Regardless of these, we can recommend the hotel mainly due to the price, friendly staff and comfortable beds.
