Everything we could have wished for. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was fabulous. Can't wait to return.

Lovely large,spacious room. Clean and well presented and quiet, window with a view towards village. Staff absolutley wonderful, friendly and helpful and efficient. The bed and pilows were amazingly comfortable - it is unusual for both my husband and I to agree on the level of comfort of bed and pillows. Lovely spacious shower room with everything clean and well presented. Shower head delivered plenty of hot water and was big so was great. Central heating control so we could boost the heat in the room (it was -6 that night) and so could increase daytime and reduce at night which was great. Had a fantastic 3 course 'early bird' menu for dinner and the breakfast was amazing in size, options and quality.

Just a tiny minor niggle,shower cabinet could be a little bigger next time you refit. Its a snug fit at the moment the shower head was great at delivering a hot morning/evening shower.

The Blue Bell exceeded our expectations! Check-in was smooth and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room was exceptional - it had everything we needed with a large comfy bed, separate seating area and beautiful large bathroom. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant area which was superb! The breakfast the following morning was delicious, with a lot of choice and excellent coffee. We would definitely recommend the Blue Bell and look forward to staying there again.

The shower in our room wasn't working, which we pointed out to the Manager. He did say that the room had just been renovated and they were having some problems with the shower. However, this wasn't a problem as we were only staying for 1 night - we just had a bath instead!

Everywhere was emmaculatly clean. It was so cosy and relaxing and quiet. The staff were brilliant and lovely. The meal was beautiful especially the pork square starter 😋. Ohh the black pudding on the breakfast was something else. 👌.. Its the best place we have stayed in in a long time by far. There was no exspence spared from the food to the furniture decor. Wished we could have had another night there the bed was huge and so compy everything 100%thankyou for making our stay loveiy.. 😊

Well its hard to find anything but if i had to say it prob would be the shower cubicle was a tidge smaller thn im used to. The tele could have been slightly larger for the distance it was away from the bed.. And there was a beautiful open fire in the pub it would have topped it off if it would have been lit at night while we were sat on the comfy sofas

This place is wonderful, the Staff especially James and John. They were very helpful and welcoming, nothing is to much trouble. We had our luggage taken up to our room.. We were in room 3 and wow it was lovely. The bathroom was a very generous size! Two sinks and a shower and one very large bath!. The bed was very large too, and extremely comfortable Everything in the room was excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was amazing.. After dinner we sat near the log fire and chilled out it was so wonderful. We couldn't fault this place. We will definitely be back!

Nothing to dislike

What a wonderful gem of a hotel! We absolutely loved this place: the staff (especially John and James) provided incredible service - you couldn't get better service to be honest! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had a very special Babymoon! Thank you for the yummy chocolates in our room! Both the evening meal and the breakfast were delicious and the chef popped out when we left to say goodbye! What a great chef! The room was large, the bed was wonderfully comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean. The Christmas decorations made the whole place very special! THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR STAY SO WONDERFUL!!!

Our stay was two nights for a family wedding being held locally. We were extremely impressed with our stay at the Blue Bell. A very warm and friendly welcome, exceptional service throughout. We had one evening meal and breakfast twice and each meal was beautiful. Our room (Room 1) was extremely spacious, comfortable s.king bed, lovely wood furniture and a clean, smart en suite with a wonderful shower, albeit the cubicle was a little snug. Whilst in the room we did not experience any external noise from the pub downstairs or outside but was great to see an warm, family atmosphere in the pub and even better to see they have a dog friendly are too.

We couldn't fault our stay. The shower cubicle was a tad snug but that really is all.

Beautiful area, a great base for travelling further afield. The bedrooms are lovely, with a very comfortable bed, and good sized bathroom.. We had a meal in the restaurant both evenings of our stay, great food and excellent value!

K There appeared to be a mix up over the length of our stay, we had booked 2 nights, but on returning after a day out on the second day, our room had not been serviced - bed unmade, tea and coffee not been replenished etc.. Also we went down for our 8 o clock breakfast the next morning to a deserted room! Again, they thought we'd only booked for one night, so our cooked breakfast was quite late arriving! However we were given extra toast while waiting, and a complimentary extra latte, so all good, and despite this small glitch we will definitely be returning!

Nice room. Spacy and comfortable. The staff was brilliant! Friendly and made you feel welcome. The large fish and chips, prawn cocktail, and eggs Benedict not to be missed. We will stay again.

There was no housekeeping, though the staff did leave replenishments for coffee etc in the lobby. Heating did take some time to work, but we did mention it to the reception and it seems that it was fixed afterwards. The full English was a bit underwhelming. Decided to go for eggs Benedict instead.
