Breakfast was excellent, accommodation comfortable and the staff were very very good. We had an internal room with no window so when the electrics wouldn't work it got rather dark. The staff dealt with the problem quickly and treated us appropriately. All in all, we had a good two nights here. Not sure I would say it was romantic however 11 out of 10 for the staff though.......

We didn't enjoy seeing older residents struggling up the two flights of stairs. I appreciate that it does make it clear in the advertising that there are no lifts. But in this day and age, I would have thought a lift was a standard requirement.

The Staff were very helpful, I asked for an iron at reception and it and the ironing board were there as we got to our rooms. The rooms were lovely and clean and we enjoyed the biscuits that were with the tea and coffee and hot chocolate, a wee bonus as my daughter loves hot chocolate and it's normally just tea or coffe😊 Breakfast was really good and great variety of hot items as well as the continental choices with cereal, yoghurt, fruit ham, cheese croissants and pastries etc The dinner in the restaurant was exceptional and good prices. We would definitely go back.

The only thing would be the stairs upto the rooms when you have luggage, a nice wee elevator would have been nice. But on the plus side , it keeps you fit!😂 We also had to book 2 rooms, couldn't get a family room for me, my husband and adult daughter who has a brain tumour and brain injury so can't be in a room on her own. A family room with 3 beds would have been a less expensive option for us.

The hotel is situated in the town of Kirkintilloch and is a family run concern. Everything seemed modern or recently refurbished, and room had all the usual facilities, with good bathroom/shower. There is private (barriered) parking adjacent, which is worth knowing ahead of arrival. The town itself is quite historic and great for strolling about, with a range of places to eat, but the hotel food was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Some slight traffic noise, but double glazing kept this to a minimum.

We stayed at The Broadcroft as it is close to my son and daughter in law's home. The hotel is stylish and clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the restaurant offers excellent food, including an extensive buffet breakfast.

After a five hour plus drive I was ready for a cup of tea but there was no kettle in the room. I asked Reception for one and it took quite some time to find one that worked but this was eventually sorted out . The room was quite small with no dressing table and little hanging space for clothes.

The restaurant was excellent and the staff was super friendly!

The upgrades made to the hotel are lovely but the main problems have not been fixed. There is no lift to the floors so you have to carry heavy luggage up several steep flights of stairs. The rooms are still rather stuffy with limited ventilation and the beds are very uncomfortable.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Great power shower in room. Modern clean rooms. Good breakfast. Kirkintilloch is a lovely friendly place with a few nice restaurants. Car park available for residents.

Not a real problem but doors locked at midnight, have to call night porter to get in, not a big problem but I'm a smoker and tend to be up late, so didn't smoke after midnight. Obviously this is done for security.

Have stayed many times in Broadcroft but this stay really exceeded the others. The staff were all so nice and attentive. We really enjoyed the new buffet breakfast which is far better than the previous set up.The rooms are clean and comfortable. We particularly like the side rooms which have views over the Campsie hills..From check in till check out the staff couldnt have been any nicer or more helpfull.I feel since the refurb this hotel has been better.

The absence of a lift which has been an issue for me for years but real big issue now due to mobility problems.I hoped with refurb a lift would be installed .Was quite surprised to learn it hadnt.

ideal location for us, very close to where our family live. Very clean, modern, all staff so friendly and extremely helpful. Food is excellent, breakfasts fantastic choice, very well cooked and presented. Evening meals are also excellent, good choice on menu. All the staff work very hard to ensure one’s stay is a good experience. The latte’s are served with delicious little cookies, raspberry and white chocolate, they should market them.

Nothing- but an outside lift would be appreciated. their is a stair lift.

The breakfast was yummy. Really laid out invitingly, the food was Plentiful and we enjoyed pancakes, pain au chocolate , scrambled egg which we were assured would be changed if not at temperature For us. Tea aplenty. Top marks. The bacon was delicious.

My fault. My husband forgot to request a low room for us, I have arthritis and as the stairs were plenty, I found myself having to slowly climb. The room, no.12 was adequate.

Lovely clean hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly and we feel they really wanted to make our stay enjoyable. Food was lovely, beautifully presented and tasty. Room was on the smaller side but perfect for our needs, lovely toiletries and clean. The staff really made this hotel standout for us, they really were lovely!

No lift to the rooms - carrying a fairly heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs was hardwork!
