I've been to various pub-accommodation hybrids that don't do a particularly good job of being either, but this was an exception, in that it struck a nice balance between the two without the aspects impeding upon eachother. The host was welcoming and attentive throughout my albeit brief stay, giving assistance on how best to get to and from Altrincham where I was attending a football match later that night. The pub was really nice, with lovely decor and fireplace, which gave out a really homely vibe. More importantly, the room was more than adequate too. I will definitely be returning if requiring another overnight stay in the region.

Nothing really, it was ideal for what I was after.

The pub is really welcoming with a beautiful beer garden at the back. The landlord treated us as soon as we walked in. we were staying for 1 night only due to poor accommodation the night before and we were happily surprised when we walked into a well-appointed bedroom en-suite. Everything was clean and lovely. there is a Thai street food restaurant two doors down and an Indian restaurant across the road. we want to the Indian. great food

The mattress (for me….I know that it is personal choice) felt a soft and I could feel the springs

Overall a good place, with a little maintenance could be great, window catches all loose, plug in sink was bent, collar on door handle hanging off, etc, just little things but would make a difference if corrected. We would stay again if in the area.

Location, busy main road, stayed on one of the hottest days of the year, a room at the front, no ventilation, asked for a fan, never arrived, if we had been earlier I would have gone and bought one, was that hot.

The room was great, very big and the bathroom was nice, and big too. The beer garden was lovely and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially as I arrived very late and they stayed behind to let me in.

I was disappointed there was no food on offer in the bar, which I didn't know in advance. I also thought the room missed a chair and a mirror in the bedroom, would have been better for getting ready. The bathroom mirror was a bit difficult to use because it was four small squares, I think this would be better as one big square or rectangular mirror.

Martin and staff were very friendly, the Pub was quiet and had a nice couryard to sit in out the back of put followed on by a grass area. Didnt actually eat at the pub but wished that we had after seeing Pizza Pasty come out.

The stairs up to the rooms are a little steep, however this would not deter us from going again, and not a lot you can do about it in such a lovely old building.

Excellent service throughout my stay, only planned to stop one night but due to business problems I stayed three nights, Martin the new landlord is down to earth and very welcoming as is his staff. Sam is very friendly and knows where to get a good takeaway. Good luck Martin on your new adventure and hope all goes well. Looking forward to coming back and try out your food when you get the kitchen fitted. Thanks guys all the best

Very close to Manchester airport. Great Value for Money Handy to have a restaurant/bar downstairs, or if you fancy something different there is a Thai place right on your doorstep.

Nextdoor conversation can be clearly heard but I suppose there is very little they can do about it considering it's an old property. The mattress provides little support.

The atmosphere was so relaxed and the staff were really helpful. So down to earth made us feel really welcome and we will definitely stay there again in the future :) comfy clean beds and bathroom. Thankyou very much for our pleasant stay :)

The only thing would be that there is no parking around but we got lucky and found a spot not too far away

Great location and very clean rooms, easy check in and option for gaining access after pub closed . No parking but plenty of on street options, the beds were very comfy and lovely bathrooms . Exceeded our expectations considering how much we paid for it !

Could do with fans in the rooms, got very very hot and stuffy very quickly ( wasn't a warm night) and with window open you could hear the ambulances from the nearby hospital
