A clean and comfortable place to stay and rest while enjoying the proximity to town centre and sea. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was spacious with warm light of the sun ~ a perfect place to rest and recover after a long journey. Recommended to the travellers looking for a soulful place.

Breakfast was cooked by a very nice young lady. Perfect . Last day by the chef also very good. Staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble . Room at top staff offered to take bags up No chair in room staff brought chair up Asked if I could use the breakfast room to work, again no problem Asked for directions to the local shop, staff offered to drop me off This was a budget room but it was clean and had what I needed generally. This was the only room left. So good being able to park in the hotel car park

Really lovely little covered space and garden at front needs a bit of TLC . Maybe making sure what breakfast items are available say a little printed menu

Our room, with plenty of light/bit of sea view, had been compled the day before we arrived. Roomy and nicely styled. We were attending a gig at the nearby Pavillion, just enough room to squeee my (rather large) car into their car park, and ataff were helpful with the fact we would be back later than the average gig finish time there. Breakfast hit the spot, the bacon when requested as crispy was actually crispy (rarer to get than it sounds) and if we had a reason to need to be in that area again would have no issue checking on availability for.

Nothing negative to comment on

Room was comfortable, clean, and with a sea view. English breakfast was extra cost and cooked to order. Check-in was straightforward and there is a well-stocked bar. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Car park wasn't accessible on arrival due to poor parking of non-residents. No towels in room (this was quickly sorted). Communal areas - corridors and stairs - definitely in need of some love. Wi-fi not good in bedroom where signal kept dropping.

The location, outside area was amazing really loved the hammocks & garden. free parking but limited (I still got parking very happy), good value for money too. The host was lovely and friendly, nice they had their own bar downstairs too with extremely good priced drinks !

Some bits in the bathroom were broken, could be offered vegan milk for tea& coffee and the parking was limited but overall I really liked my stay and the whole hotel. It made it feel homely and welcoming. I will be returning !

I really liked the way that we were made to feel welcome by Gary and the team. It felt like we were sat in our local, amongst friends. The room was spacious, airy and well turned down every day.

Parking was sometimes tricky. There are some spaces at the hotel itself but that fills up quickly. On street parking is competitive throughout St. Leonards anyway, that is no fault of the hotel's.

Very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable being a solo visitor. Nice gardens and good location. Excellent proper full English breakfast.

The duvet , although nice and clean was bit heavy , especially as room , being quite high was bit warm , although with windows open was comfortable and airy.

The owner and staff friendly and helpful. Lovely sea view over the rooftops. Bar was friendly, clean and well equipped. The bedding and towels pristine white and bed very comfortable. Shower room aduequate for my needs. I'd planned one night stopover as had a long journey and was going to a concert at Bexhill. I stayed for a few hours for a rest and felt very comfortable. Hotel has been used for Key workers and homeless people during the pandemic so plenty of hand sanitisers around. Decor is a bit tired in places, but the main benefit was the lovely clean bed and towels and feeling happy and relaxed there.

I felt quite happy there and would have stayed all night - but my bedroom was on 2nd floor- no lift and I found the stairs difficult. I had asked about stairs when booking but just recieved a positive response so imagined I would not be so high up. I should have checked.

Large spacious room and a decent sized bathroom. Lots of storage space if you had an extended stay, good amounts of tea/coffee/sugar/milk. The room was very quiet. Bed quite comfy, clean white cotton linen. Towel rails needed in bathroom as they had been left over the back of the armchair and hanging on wardrobe door. A hook on door to hang washbag/nightwear would be good. Good full English breakfast and juice/cereals available as well. Large jug of milk on the table and a good sized pot for the tea a coffee. When the food was served we were told if anything extra was required to just let them know. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful, Suspect owners have recently taken over and are trying very hard to bring the hotel up to a higher standard but I appreciate getting staff at the moment seems to be a nightmare everywhere.

Being able to feel the bed springs through to mattress. New curtain hooks required as the curtains were adrift at the top but could only be done with a tall step ladder in a room with a 10 foot high ceiling. There was an armchair in front of the large window which afforded ok view but it only had one arm (the other was laying on the floor next to the chair) The TV was on a table to the side of the bed. Ok if you sleep on that side of the bed but not if you don't (assuming there are two people). Needs to be wall hung. The bath mat had been left inside the shower cubicle and was soaking wet.
