When we booked this accommodation we knew that we were booking a pub & knew what to expect from that, on this occasion however we actually received more than expected. John & Natalie were great hosts, the breakfast was very good, we were given clean towels everyday, which we did not expect on a 3 night stay & despite being a popular busy pub we were never disturbed by noise from the bar. The pub is well located, you can easily walk into Eastbourne in about 15 - 20 mins. & there is a supermarket next door, which is very convenient.

We had no real issues with this accommodation, the car park is small, about 5 spaces, but we never had a problem getting parked.

On a work trip arrived late after 4 hour drive. Lovely staff welcome. Immediately relaxed after a pint before check in. Loved the fridge in the room. Fantastic breakfast shame I didn't have chance to have the dinner as I'm sure that would have been amazing. Portable AC was noted but not used.

Toilet not properly cleaned. Road noise (front facing room). Prefer away from the road as I like the window open but not keen on traffic noise. Decor needs refresh as a few marks in the walls Disappointed with the shower for the price, as I paid extra for a deluxe. Unpleasant odour in the room wasn't fresh, but you do have to accept that when staying in a pub. Under bed not clean. I know the bed can't be moved after every guest change, but a vacuum now and again would be great. Nice to have a portable AC to cool the room but the bucket next to it was not great to look at. I assume it's for the condensate drain for the ac, but it's awful to look at.

The staff at the Lamb were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were just right, being a very old building you expect the shape of the walls and spaces to be a little different. They have a varied menu, all the food was good especially the desserts, but we didn't have breakfast. The bar was vibrant and the beer good. There is limited number of parking places, but we got a park each day no problem.

The Lamb has steep staircases that lead up to the rooms, which was difficult for my wife, I should have checked for that before we booked.

We booked a family room and the set up was perfect: a small lobby connecting a double bedroom, twin room and bathroom behind one locked door. Perfect for a family with two children who are not old enough to be on their own in a separate room. The bar staff were friendly - and Phil, who showed us to our room was as helpful as possible in taking away the feather duvets/pillows when I realised I had forgotten to notify them of an allergy. We also appreciated the touch of good quality tea/coffee with a little fresh (not UHT!) milk in a fridge.

The only reason for not scoring 10 was the traffic noise from the adjacent road in the morning - but I did not notice this at night.

so quirky and home from home. All the little touches were thought of, even wooden mobile phone holders! our room (Armarda) was so comfortable and warm, the bed was amazing, even my hubby said it was the most comfortable bed he’s ever slept on and he loves his sleep! the bathroom was spotless as was the room. I really don’t think I can fault anything. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The Inn itself is lovely, gorgeous open fireplace. We had dinner here also and everything was delicious, as was the breakfast. sausages were amazing, my guess is locally sourced. It was fantastic value for money and we will definitely be returning.

can’t fault it at all.

The lady who was in charge was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for her, and she did everything with a smile.

Breakfast was very tasty, the only thing I would change would be to be given a menu. We were asked if we wanted a full English and we said ok .It was very good value and we were offered more drinks, it just would have been nice to know if there were other options. The car park is quite tricky, being small and on a steep slope, but understand there is off site parking close by.

Breakfast was a full English with fruit juice, tea or coffee and toast. Cereal was available too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with our room(s) as our booking for 3 adults comprised of two separate rooms, a double and a twin bedded room with a small area in between that had two armchairs and a table with tea and coffee making facilities. In addition fresh milk was provided in the fridge in the bedroom which is a definite plus rather than the usual long life milk most places provide. The place itself has so much character as much of it is very old dating back centuries. We definitely plan to stay there again in the future.

There is no parking available on site.

We had a lovely two-night stay at the Lamb Inn and would highly recommend it! The room was clean and bigger than we expected and thankfully it was equipped with an air-condition which was excellent for such hot weather. The pub area is really charming and when we arrived on Friday night there was live music which was very nice (and surprisingly the rooms, which are on the top floor, were very quiet). We also really enjoyed the breakfast (full English). The staff in particular were all wonderful, very friendly and happy to help. Overall, an excellent experience and will certainly stay here again.

Dinner & breakfast were lovely. Loved our room. Loved the decor & two comfy armchairs, plus art deco wardrobe & cupboard with fridge & safe. Large comfy bed & enough pillows, Loved the building & atmosphere. Owners were very friendly & welcoming. Loved it. Would definitely stay there again.

A lot of stairs up to our room! (We are a bit ancient), plus a bit of a skew whiff toilet seat which my husband said wouldn't stay up without being held. No other complaints!

We had a very comfortable night at this lovely old pub. The room was clean and spacious, complete with an air-conditioning unit; It was a life-saver on such a hot night. We had our evening meal in the pub; both choices were very nice; breakfast was great too. All the staff were very pleasant. There was a great selection of ales too. I opted for the Armada ale; a great choice. Highly recommended.

We had no issues with The Lamb Inn, but it’s worth noting that the sleeping accommodation is on the upper floors and there’s no lift, so it wouldn’t suit those with mobility issues.
