Gravetye Manor

Beautiful Location in exceptionally lovely gardens, well maintained by the great team of Gardeners, under the Head Gardner, Tom. Really appreciated the lovely walks, lakes and beautiful natural meadows. Food was exceptional so many thanks to George, Head Chef and his Team in the Kitchen. Service in all parts of the hotel was exemplary. Reception Staff were very welcoming and helpful with special thanks to Emma, member of the Front Office team. In fact, very special thanks to all who made our stay so enjoyable!

The breakfast was delicious as was the dinner, the canapés were to die for!! The stall were friendly, happy and helpful. And if course the gardens, absolutely wonderful

The size of the room, I must say I was disappointed with that, but all clean, comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the bathroom.

From the warm welcome upon arrival (someone was waiting in the car park to greet us and take our luggage) to the moment we finally managed to tear ourselves away from this magical place, all of the staff were exceptionally warm, generous and professional. The head gardener even kindly gave my husband a plant which they’d been discussing. The gardens are magnificent, the food divine and we just adored every second. I have extremely high expectations and can honestly say that Gravetye is by far the best 5 star hotel I’ve stayed at in the U.K. All of the staff deserve a huge thank you, they all seemed to genuinely enjoy working at the Manor and I observed several very warm and kind exchanges with guests. We were in a standard room which was very comfortable and slept very well, after enjoying a fabulous, very inventive and impeccably presented dinner. On our way out, we booked for the same time next year.

Booked for our 40th anniversary . Service superb from greeting to depart. Card and present for us from management in beautiful double aspect bedroom which had views over the wonderful gardens. Excellent dinner in stunning restaurant .

Such a small thing but the breakfast bacon was dry and like cardboard. I had woken in the early hours to the smell of cooking bacon so I suspect it had been precooked and then reheated.

We really enjoyed our stay - dinner was lovely, both the food and the setting were superb and the staff were excellent by all accounts. It's the perfect setting for a celebratory break.

Dinner was similar to what we ate in October (same ingredients done a little differently). The guests in the room above us made a lot of noise through the night ( door slamming and heavy footsteps).

Beautiful Manor. The grounds are lovely to look at and to walk around. Our room was spacious and well equipped. Very well trained and friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant was superb, Breakfast was perfect. We will definitely return.

One minor point. The mattress was a little too soft for me but was fine for my wife.

Fantastic place with a remarkable garden. Everything you can expect from a traditional english country hotel with a great restaurant passing time around the fire - so relaxing

Would have been fantastic to organise a fire in the gardens for halloween

Impossible to dislike anything! A superb hotel in every respect. We particularly loved the superb service from the staff. They made us feel so welcome, making us feel special.

Always a relaxing stay. Gardens magnificent. Dinner and breakfast very good in a lovely restaurant looking out onto the gardens. Room spacious and quiet.

Duvet too warm and although air con good could not turn it cooler.
