Cleanliness, grounds, colour scheme location very near sheringham beach too. Very clean decor good and comfy pillows medium firm beds not lost original charm but modern

initial welcome a bit stern rather than smiling but professional. Maps does not know how to get to puts you in a field far away avoid maps rather look for station road follow beach front towards Sheringhsm turn left on station road little bridge 20mph go up that and note the photo of building can see it opposite this bridge don’t go more than 100 yards from bridge otherwise your lost.

Room was very comfortable. Swimming pool was good.

View from window was disappointing. Also one reading light didn't work and couldn't be repaired during our stay.

Lovely welcoming staff gave us lots of information to ensure we enjoyed our stay, drawing my attention to use of the swimming pool was a very welcome bonus on a hot July afternoon. Everywhere was clean and fresh, the room, particularly the bathroom has been updated to a great standard with a large walk in shower. The staff in sports bar were also lovely and hardworking, I enjoyed eating and drinking in there. Location was perfect for coastal path, situated between Cromer and Sheringham, West Runton is a lovely village. Highly recommended.

I was in the garden rooms as I had dogs and it was really

I was given a price. I advised the hotel I had dogs and they sent an email advising there was no extra charge. Then I received another email saying that as I had dogs I would have to be in the garden rooms ( I had 2 rooms) and it was costing me an extra £240 on top of what I already paid. this was for upgrades to garden rooms and the dogs. tThis type of info should be provided up front and it was particularly surprising as I had an email to say there would be no extra charge for the dogs

Lovely country style hotel stayed two nights. Comfortable room on top floor with an enormous shower! Comfy bed slept really well. Young lady at the main desk very friendly and helpful. Think she was new and training but she was proficient. Didn’t eat here so can’t comment. Recommend it for a great location to visit north Norfolk. Lovely pool for a swim in the morning to wake you up, or evening to cool off.

Bit of a faff to use the pool but it’s just for the safety and security reasons.

I liked the fact that I could book last minute and late at night, and that you and your staff accommodated me accordingly. I also liked the fact that your staff were friendly and efficient, and yet they were not in 'my face' trying too hard to impress. They were very professional!

It was just a few little things like, my TV remote not quite working right. And also, a few little patches here and there around the walls where some of the marks and scuffs could have been painted over or touched up with a wee bit of paint. Nothing major, just minor gripes really.

Room great! Although TV was on desk, so couldn't work there - no problem, as I worked through the night downstairs with a very accommodating night porter, who respected my space. I arrived late for breakfast - my fault, so everything was a little cold and congealed... I love black pudding - none offered! A very slight slight! Location - lovely! Lots of lovely walks... West Runton is like home to me. Space and time to think and do work (I am a composer) Staff were friendly and professional.

Not a lot! Unfortunately missed the pool - was so wrapped up in work, but do bring your swim wear - it's a great pool!

Nice spacious room, very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with a decent shower, heated towel rack is nice as well. Friendly staff at reception always there to help with any queries. Pool was decent, not hot but not cold, once you got in its good. Hole in one restaurant on site is good, they have an amazing meat pizza. Its only a 5 minute walk from West Runton railway station with 5 minute journey to connections to Sheringham or Cromer and connections down to Norwich and beyond.

Floors are a tad thin could hear footsteps and snoring from above. If you arrive by train late after it has gone dark be careful as there is no pavement or street lights, I manged to fall over into the road.

Location ideal for us, one night stopover, room was clean, bed was comfortable, evening meal was fine, didn't have breakfast, nice golf bar adjacent to the hotel, 9 hole golf course on site (no driving range though)

They didn't have a driving range :) ( not really an issue as i wasn't there for golf anyway),, they didn't sell Aperol Spritz , (the other half was disappointed about that), Had a Pimms instead which was weak (paid for extra shot of Pimms), also very inconsistent in how a Pimms should be made between the Hotel and the golf bar (golf bar hadn't a clue), I find many places rip you off for spirits especially on the measure.

great position for exploring north Norfolk coastline. Room 251was a corner room with large bay window sunny all day. nice to sit in. good shower and whirlpool bath. Food was nice Staff were pleasant especially the room cleaners.

the public areas were a little tired especially the bar. the mattress had buttons and after two nights I had to sleep on a towel as my hip felt bruised The menu was rather low grade and didn’t sell the food very well. but the food itself was really well cooked and presented / the chef deserves a better showcase for his food.
