My husband had full English both days, excellent quality produce. I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on sourdough and day two I had poached eggs with avocado & chilli jam on sourdough. Both excellent. Evening meal was very good too. Staff were so friendly. We had our desserts away from the dining area in a lovely relaxing sofa area. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return. Thank you to the Eliot Team, including the friendly cleaner. Room and facilities were excellent too. Definitely return for another short break. Good dog walk opposite the hotel... along a quiet road with adjacent stream.

Nothing we didn't like.

From start to finish, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious cuisine. I loved being able to enjoy my meal while taking in the picturesque scenery. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway in the countryside. The combination of top-notch service, comfortable accommodations, and breathtaking views make for an unbeatable experience. Five stars all around!

A very good breakfast, particularly the cooked variety. Fabulous poached eggs and avocado and the best porridge we’ve ever had! My partner was disappointed at the lack of variety in the cereals on offer. The rooms were extremely comfortable with generous showers and very, very comfy beds. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was exceptional, with a good choice of reasonably priced wines.

It would have been nice to have had access to a buffet element at breakfast, in terms of choice and quantity, however this is a very minor point.

From the moment I set foot in The Eliot Arms, I was immediately captivated by its charming Cornish allure. Nestled in the picturesque village of Tregadillett, and conveniently located near Launceston and the A30, it is a gem that perfectly captures the essence of Cornwall's enchanting aura. The genuine warmth with which every guest is received resonates deeply. Whether you're a returning patron or a first-time visitor, the welcoming atmosphere feels like a gentle embrace from an old friend. This isn't just a place to stay; it's a beautiful retreat where memories are crafted. The culinary offerings are nothing short of divine. The commitment to locally-sourced, fresh ingredients is palpable in each bite, paying a delectable homage to Cornwall's rich gastronomic legacy. Their seasonal specials, paired with a pint of real ale or a glass of wine, truly elevates the dining experience to an epicurean adventure. As night falls and it's time to rest, the cozy en suite bedrooms provide the perfect sanctuary. Tastefully decorated, they're a harmonious blend of comfort and traditional aesthetics. Waking up from a tranquil night's sleep and being greeted by a hearty Cornish breakfast is the cherry on top of an already delightful stay. The Eliot Arms isn't just a pub with rooms; it's a testament to Cornish hospitality at its finest. Whether you're here for work or leisure, every moment becomes a cherished memory. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking the quintessential Cornwall experience. If I could give it more than 10 stars, I would!

Just a little way out of Cirencester, we were so pleased with the hotel appearance. Built in the 16th century, as I guess a coaching inn, internally the furnishings were very tastefully done. Our room was very comfortable. Reception, situated at the bar was very friendly and welcoming. Dinner the first evening was superb & I especially enjoyed the asparagus risotto. However, the restaurant was fully booked the 2nd night and as we had not reserved a table we were unable to dine there again. Breakfast on both days was freshly made, hot and everything you could want to start your day

Parking is limited but there is also some additional parking at the front under an old garage canopy. I cant think of anything else which we didnt like. Meal service can be a little slow but as the meals are individually cooked and I think only one chef, the wait is worth it. The website does recommend booking a table for evening dining and I would say this is a very good idea as the chef is excellent and meals will not disappoint you

It's at least a 9.5. We loved this gorgeous, picturesque house, and our room was perfect. The super clean and new pub and dining area were wonderful for grabbing a pint, having dinner, and breakfast. The large sitting area in front of the house, with the lovely creek alongside, was perfect for a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was most excellent. They took great care of us. We had some pleasant conversations with local folks who stopped by for a pint. That says a lot about the quality of the property.

Tiny issue. Our room (#1) was a little warm even with the windows wide open, but that's not at all unusual. Hopefully, there are fans available for a multi-night stay.

The rooms were lovely, very comfy bed. The location was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. Just wish we were able to get there earlier so we could of enjoyed drink in the front garden before bed.

My only tiny criticism is that some of the advertised ingredients to the breakfast were not on the plate, but I imagine this would of be sorted if mentioned to the staff, but we needed to leave for work and just ate what we had as we didn't have time to rectify. Starting breakfast at 7am would of been better for us, but this is our only criticism,

well presented with oldie feel. Nice quaint setting. lovely staff. Breakfast was good quality but unsure why its advertised as ‘incredible’.

Rooms not well noise or light insulated (personally I needed to use eye mask/ear plugs). Can REALLY hear people outside and in adjacent rooms (example running taps etc). No shower in room only bath which wasn’t advertised and made washing awkward - the surrounding walls all splattered too. Some of the paintwork is worn. The cost of the room (£154) was expensive for what you get in my personal opinion.
