Rueang Sri Siri Guesthouse

Staff were super friendly! Was given a map of local area upon arrival which was a nice touch. Great value for money. Basic backpacker hostel, no complaints! Big fridge to store food items if necessary, free water and toilet paper provided, lots of plug sockets in room - aircon and shower worked well and English Channel available on tv. Little bar on site selling drinks and very good vibe!

Towels were micro fibre which was good as they dried quickly, but had a strange smell, but not the only place we’ve been to that have had this problem so wasn’t overly bothered. Location was great in relation to bus stop and getting taxis was easy - however if you want central location to old town and temple ruins, this is not a walkable distance so something to consider, which we didn’t realise but wasn’t a problem for us.

very nice owner. Family run. Incredibly close to the bus stop. Nice place for the price. our room had a wonderful balcony and a mini fridge and the bed was comfortable.

You will want to take a taxi or rent a scooter if you plan to see the temples as it is pretty far from the park. I recommend walking to the night market for food as the woman who runs the restaurant next-door to this property was not very nice to us. But the night market and the walk to the night market is very good.

Rueng sri Siri guesthouse is a cute courtyard with a comfortable common area. The location is perfect: even if it's attached to the bus station it's very protected so you don't hear any noise, just enjoy that's so easy to move anywhere. In 15-20 minutes walk you are in full Sukhothai centre for restaurants and local market. It's in the direction of the Histological park so you can choose any way to get there (bike, bus etc..). The dorm is spacious, colourful and relaxing, full of light from the windows. Most of all the owner is a family very kind and open to listen any requests.

If there would be free water refill and coffee for me would be one of the best hostel in which I've been ;)

The fan room was impeccable for the price, simple, clean and efficient! Very convenient location right next to the bus station. The window in my room faced the countryside in the back of the guesthouse, which was a beautiful sight to wake up to. Kind, friendly staff was always easily available.

I had to change to an aircon room because I wanted to extend my stay and they were all booked up during a festival, and I can't recommend it. The fan room was surprisingly better, but I'm still grateful for the staff for squeezing me in last minute.

Clean room; basic facilities; nice stuff and welcoming; 1 min walk from the bus terminal; free wifi (but slow); careful with the mosquitos (they are everywhere). Bikes and motorcycles for rent. They have drinks to sell (not food). There is a small restaurant where you can eat 100 m from the location (normal prices).

The bed is really hard (couldn’t sleep); 12 km to old town; the bike rental is 60 thb (double compared to the price you get at the entrance in the historical park. The fan is very noisy. The internet is quite slow.

Great property to stay at to visit Sukhothai. the staff are helpful, they have scooters and bikes to rent on sight. They have a simple breakfast available to buy with instant coffee. the beds were decently comfortable with privacy curtains and outlets. I picked the room with ac which was nice but it does cool off overnight so the room with a fan would have probably been fine. it’s a bit of a walk to town but I was fine with that. easy to meet other travellers as well

I ended up with a lot of bug bites overnight. maybe mosquito nets are a good idea for the room? I picked the room with ac which was nice but maybe the room with the fan would have been better for the bugs?

Next to the bus station, 1km to the new city+10km to old city. Very calm and peaceful, they offer breakfast and other snacks/etc. Beds are pretty basic, I slept fine and had no problems what so ever! They have a big balcony with hammocks to chill in.

Dorms rooms are only cooled by fans, no AC! But was still OK for me atleast. Showers/toilets are outdated, dirty and not that great.

Fantastic positioning for the bus station. Very friendly and helpful staff. You can use the laundry facilities for only 40thb. 24hr shop and small cafe (very good) right next door. Two fans in the room. Water provided for each day of stay. Nice communal outdoor sitting areas.

Not a major negative but it is a 15-20 minute walk to the new town down a back road. WiFi was weak. Room facilities old (but clean and working).

Basic but nice guesthouse just few steps from bus station and still not far to city center (about 1 km to market). More or less clean. Private and quiet. Friendly staff. Possibility to rent a bike or motorbike. Do laundry. Have a breakfast for some fee.

It would be nice to do more proper cleaning, There was pretty bed smell coming from drains. And also wash all sheets and specially towels for more than just 30 minutes (which is standard in Thailand) and not just use liters of softener, because my towel smelled so bad after it got wet, like sweating, disgusting.

It was cheap, good location, loads of people to meet, they rent good bicycles and it’s an hour ride-loads of places to eat and have a refreshing drink on the way. Everyone in the room had a fan and at night it was comfortable to sleep, loads of mosquitoes at night tho 😬 but I had a good stay, staff were kind and helpful!
