Sawasdeepai River Resort

The location is excellent, close to the party street but far enough away to not be disturbed by the noise. I also really enjoyed the coffee area which overlooked the river (even if the river is not that pretty). It was also a big bonus having a yoga studio there and the pool in front of my room.

Very little as a great value stay. The pool area could do with a little TLC but appreciate many places in Thailand are still recovering from lack of tourism and funding due to COVID so don’t have the money to fix up their properties

This property is nestled along a passage of water, set beneath a gorgeous view of the mountains. You can relax on the hammock and enjoy it. It’s set in a more quiet area of town, but it’s still just minutes away from the action. We were pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous our bungalow was. The bathroom is really nice and the bed was comfy. They gave us water and anything else we could need daily. The staff were genuinely lovely and friendly. We would recommend hiring a scooter to enhance your experience. There’s plenty of space for parking.

Nothing! Lots of good memories and times in Pai.

Really cool space, really loved the interior of the rooms. Felt like cute private bungalows with outdoor seating and right on the pool. Pool was cleaned daily and just a really cool hostel. Location was perfect and right near everything and they have bike rentals next door. The guy was super nice and accommodating since I think his family owns the hostel so that was great.

Not the hostels fault but there was a lot of construction going on in the river at the time. Also there were quiet a few ants in the rooms because there were gaps in the doors. Also could use a few more chairs at pool.

We loved this hotel and actually ended up extending for an additional 3 nights. When viewing the photos I wasn't sure if it would be a little too rustic but the design is really lovely. We stayed in an AC room with comfy beds and a hot, good shower. A lovely little balcony to relax on out the front with views of the river. This hotel is in a great location with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby as well as walking street a short walk away. Staff friendly and attentive, all in all great value for money!

A small comment that our room wasn't cleaned for the duration of our stay (around 5 nights total). Also it would be great to have a few more sunchairs around the pool area.

Very nice bungalows, comfortable and clean. Fresh bottled water and toilet paper provided each day and coffee available for purchase. Staff are friendly and offer quick support for any issues. Hottest shower we’ve had in Thailand and AC works great. Awesome location, set outside of the thick of things where it gets crowded and noisy at night, but still within walking distance to everything, including the White Buddha. Definitely recommend this place, we returned for one night to Pai after going further north and we were happy to return here.

Wifi was finicky and often dropped out. There was a big rainstorm the second day we were here and there were electricity outages all around Pai, so that may have prompted the wifi trouble, but it continued for days afterwards. Staff was very helpful though- if you let them know it wasn’t working in the bungalows they would reset it and that fixed it short term. Hostel across the street often has loud music going but subtle from a distance and earplugs at night block everything out.

Super cute bungalows. Next to the river. Staff was very friendly and they have a small shop where you can get a coffee in the morning. Room was clean and spacious. It’s was not 4m2 like it said on booking. It was bigger. Bathroom and shower were good. There was a hook above the bed where you can hang a mosquito net. I brought one, but actually didn’t need to use it. Location is perfect. walking distance from Pai walking street.

You can hear what is happening outdoors, but it wasn’t a problem for us.

The pool area over looked the river. We walked down the street and bought an iced coffee back every morning to sit by the pool and overlook the river. Staff were friendly and fixed any problems quickly - we couldn't get the hot water to work but turned out the gas for the boiler needed changing which was done within minutes. The room was spacious. The pool area was quite and had some shaded areas for most of the day. Good location to the bars, walking street and restaurants. Fairly quiet at night (one night of music near by but wasn't a problem at all for us).

The pool area could have had a few more loungey chairs or cushions. The lights in the room weren't that bright, nor cosy.

Perfect stay, we felt very at home. Beautiful bungalow rooms that were modern and clean. The pool area was lovely to relax by, we loved the natural setting of the place as it was by the river and peaceful. Perfect location just out of the centre, but still walking distance to cafes/restaurants/shops on both sides of the river. The staff are so lovely, and we loved the natural products shop and cafe next door. We were able to do yoga there in the mornings too. Amazing hospitality!

The riverside cabin-style rooms give it a rural feel, even though you're steps from downtown The balcony is a plus, it is the place we enjoy the most. It is close to the bus terminal, 7 eleven, etc. They rent motorcycles there at a good price and that allows you to move everywhere. We stayed for a week and extended 2 days, but the truth is that we wanted to stay longer. It's good.

Excellent location right by the river and very close to the night market. A few reviews speak about the noise and yes you can hear the hustle and bustle at night but as a city person I didn’t find it too disturbing. There remains a very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the resort. I also loved how the place was decorated.

Not really the property’s fault and I guess any kind of bungalow with greenery around will have this problem but I found two huge cockroaches in the bathroom.
