A-Te Chumphon Hotel - SHA Plus

The staff is absolutely wonderful, very welcoming and helpful when we had to book transport to our next travel destination. They even offered to heat our meals one evening when we couldn’t be bothered to go out to eat and instead has bought some food from 7/11 (which is surprisingly delicious compared to Danish 7/11 food) and then brought the food to our room. Such a nice gesture and it made us feel very at home. They furthermore insisted that they helped us with renting scooters and brought them to the hotel (without charging us extra), which was lovely so we didn’t have to find a shop ourselves and they took care of everything so all we had to do was pay and drive! Also, the pool is great and we had it to ourselves most of the time. Breakfast is good too.

While the interior is modern which is a plus, the cleaning could and should be upgraded a bit. The drawers in the closet needed a small cleaning and some of the surfaces could benefit from a bit more thorough clean as well.

The room was really nice. The staff were awesome! Loved the balcony overlooking the pool and the tranquil and lush ambiance of the whole place. The location was great too. Fairly short walk to the train station and about a 10 minute walk from a motorbike rental place (Fame Tours). Perfect place to stay for a few days to explore the beautiful and under-touristed Chumphon province!

Nothing. Can't see why this place doesn't have at least an 8 rating.. hopefully my review here nudges it up to 8. If I had to pick something to make the place perfect, I'd say: outfit the rooms with smart TVs so us millennials can easily access our Netflix and YouTubes and also, the beds are a bit hard by western standards but probably soft by Thai standards (somewhere in the middle).

The staff was incredibly friendly and treated us like family. The rooms were clean, and the shower had great pressure and hot water. We had an early morning flight and the hotel arranged a cheap shared shuttle van for us, and since we left before breakfast started, they packed a breakfast bento for us with a generous portion, and even accommodated our vegan diet. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again the next time I travel from Koh Tao back to Bangkok!

One of the pillows was a little too firm, but other than that everything was excellent.

Wow we stayed here between getting the ferry from Koh Tao and getting on our late night train to Bangkok. This meant that we did not stay overnight but wished we had time to. The pool is fabulous and if you get a pool room they open out directly onto the pool so feels like your own private area, great for children. The staff could not do enough for us, they even gave us a lift to the station. We absolutely loved our brief stay. It is spotlessly clean and the facilities are fantastic, the price was more than some other local hotels but very good value and worth every dollar.

The bed was very comfortable . The shower was great everything clean the pool was a good temperature Breakfast was good . English breakfast was good but no bacon.

The tiles around the pools were loose and needed repairs. They had old scooters to rent but after we rented one they took them away.

This hotel is exceptional. Easy checkin, large rooms with super comfortable beds , the best hot water showers in Thailand, and great breakfast. There is a very nice restaurant at the hotel and a nice pool. To top it all off is the wonderful staff. I live in and have travelled Thailand extensively and this hotel is as good as any I have stayed in. Just wonderful.

The hotel room was sparkling clean. I'd say the cleanest of all the rooms I have stayed in South East Asia. The walls, the basin, the toilet, and each corners of the room were taken care of. It's rare to see in Thailand because other hotels only focus on the floor... The night of sleep was cozy thanks to the soft mattress and special pillow. The breakfast buffet was abundant with western and local options. Highly recommended to add it in your booking. We could feel that all the staffs was doing their best to make us a nice stay. Very happy about our choice and the value for money.

Nothing. Maybe the crowds of the market next door made the driving a bit difficult. But the parking is huge and very convenient. So not a big deal.

We only stayed 1 night and the room was big and bathroom was very clean with big shower. We had to leave hotel next morning at 5.15am to catch 7am ferry to Ko Tao and the reception organised a packed breakfast which was amazing!

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be in central Chumphon. Nothing fancy but comfortable and clean with a nice pool. The breakfast was a real highlight, the best we had in Thailand! It was also fantastic they offered the full breakfast very early when catching early flights.

The corridors have a hospital/institutional feel but that is a minor detail
