Methavalai Hotel

The location of the hotel’s good. The beach is not so far just cross the street. lots of shops and restaurants near by. 7-11 ‘s not far. The room ‘s really clean and big. the bed’s comfortable.

The staffs at checkout counter were not customer friendly at all. I understand there were many people checking out and you were overwhelmed. But the staffs should had service mind and talked to customer nicer way. I asked for the receipt upon checked out but the staff told me I had to inform them in advance then she turned away from me. the other staff asked me why did I need the receipt. I think this’s my right to ask for it and the staff shouldn’t ask me that question. She told me it will take time to prepare the receipt because it’ll be written by hand. I told her no problem I could wait. Finally I got my receipt.

From check in to check out it was a chilled out relaxed 8 days. This was a change of hotel from my usual and I will be back again with my family. Breakfast was good. The pools were great for the kids and adults. Lovely grounds and literally a stones throw from the beach. The rooms are big with balconies attracting the sun all day (bit too warm during the day as they shelter any wind). Beds are big and comfortable and the bathroom has a nice bath. All toiletries are provided too.

Pigeons are annoying with droppings around the pool area. Some facilities are closed but this seems to be the norm while covid is about.

No option for guest to leave eco ..+ hotel saving ...note as to no change bed linen option. Folly to change bed linen daily No insect screen door to all ow ocean breeze capture. Quieter,cheaper, no night chill factor..saves hotel power+thus environment. It would follow that a bedsheet be provided+ hard clean qulit not used absent the aircon chillL (Also lift foyer space + its polycarb cover need work. Ugly + oversized space)

Breakfast buffet was excellent.. Staff very nice..

Since the hotel was beachfront, it was very noisy until around 11 pm with Songkran singing and fireworks. Unfortunately the doors and balcony slides did not really help filter out the noises.

Little bit extra time for breakfast and keep the Tea table for long time at least.

The pool is great. I enjoyed the morning swim.

One of the reception couldn't find my booking, spent no effort to find it, claimed very quickly that I did not have the room reservation, and mocked me for persisting. Another receptionist had to intervene and found my reservation.
