service is excellent, helped me to re-arrange type of room as needed. staff stand up and greet us every time when we leave the hotel. the washing machine at basement is definitely a plus for travelers like us.

the location is slightly away from Center, but with acceptable walking distance to metro Dongmen station.

This hotel is very good almost on all counts, including location, cleanliness, services and facilities. Its exterior and interior environment looks better than the pictures. The staff were incredibly professional and helpful. They came out to help when we arrived by cab with a number of suitcases. They also provided assistance when we left, including lifting baggage without rolls (we forgot to ask the nice lady who wears glasses for her name but she might be the manager or team leader). The staff were very accommodating and responsive to any questions or requests, e.g., sending extra towels and iron, getting rid of unpleasant smell in the bathroom, or keeping our baggage in a room when we left town for a few days. The room is not fancy but is spacious enough to put things/clothes out for one week or open 3-4 suitcases on the floor. The windows can be opened for a breeze though they are facing an alley. The sheets and beds are comfortable, yet the pillows are on the softer side. The room was cleaned daily and re-supplied with bathroom toiletries, towels, and bottles of water. The shower, provided in both hand held and rainshower modes, has excellent water pressure and is better than most of the hotels that I went in Asia, Europe and N America. A big bathroom vanity top is a plus for a long stay. Many TV channels are available includes recent movies by HBO Hits. It provides 24-hour self-help washer/dryer facilities with free laundry powder, as well as a weight scale for weighing the baggage before heading to airport. Although it is not in the tourist areas, it takes less than 10 min to walk to Dongmen station 東門捷運站 which is close to many local shops and delicacies in Yongkang Street (永康街). Taxi fare to other city attractions is within NT150. We originally booked another 4-star hotel after a short excursion but Royal Biz is so comfortable that we stayed there again. When we returned, we were happy that the room was automatically upgraded to a suite.

Can't think of any big negative things. The hotel can make the customer experience even better by adding more varieties in the breakfast, especially western style food. Since breakfast is free, we considered the food as just extra bonus and we were just happy to have unlimited freshly brewed coffee in the morning before we started the day.

We booked deluxe twin room. Location 7min easy walk to MRT Dongmen & bus station is the reason we pick this hotel. Bus stop Renai Road is right in front of hotel. Room is spacious and comfortable. But lighting need to be change and improve. Abit dark. Thankful we got the corner room with window that has sunlight. The bed is super comfortable. But the pillow provided is too soft. The lobby reception then provide with a green bean pillow which is good for medium sleeper like me. The toilet is equipt with bath tub, shower cubicle and bidet. The shower gel & shampoo provided is so lovely. Water pressure is strong, good relax shower after a hot day. Wifi is fast. The socket point is limited. No USB pot. Laundry washer and dryer is available at basement. Simple breakfast is available with local & western choice. Coffee and cut fruits salad is good. Lobby staff is courteous. Nearby hotel has Uncle Ma(Halal), few restaurants and cafe, 7-11, Dongmen market. Family mart, PX mart, famous Yongkang area is just across the street. Overall good stay. Recomended!

Lighting need to be added and improve. More socket point with USB pot. Carpet need to replace.

The room layout is good and room size is acceptable. Daily cleaning is done like clockwork. Bathroom is big enough and shower is great with strong water pressure and hot water is always available. Kettle, mini-fridge in great condition. In-room tea bags and coffee provided. The free laundry machine located in the basement is the best. I would definitely stay again on my next trip

Pillow is too soft. Perhaps the hotel could change all the pillows to firmer ones? Breakfast could be tastier even though it's simple. Taipei is known for good food, so I'm surprised at the bland cooking.

Very good value hotel with big rooms, nice bathrooms (great strong shower), friendly staff. For my second stay in Taipei after visiting central Taiwan I decided to come back again and stayed in the hotel in total for about two weeks. During this time, breakfast options were changed every day so I was happy with breakfast provided. Good location, less than five minutes walk from a metro station. Close to the metro station there is popular Yong Kang street with many restaurants. Nearby you can also find the most famous Taiwanese restaurant Din Tai Fung (the first original location).

I liked everything about the hotel (location, food, cleanliness and size of the room). For the room it's definitely value for money. Breakfast tastes good and filling and the menu changes everyday. Favorite part is the location. It's nowhere near the night markets but there are local restaurants near the area that are cheaper and tastes good. There's also park near the area. If you like walking a bit longer you can actually go to chang-kai shek memorial by foot.

Even though you need to walk from Dongman station to Hotel, location is good. Just 15 minutes to C.S.K memorial and get around to Yongkang street . Many choices in breakfast. Bathroom feels luxury (they separate shower and bathtub). Staff is also really helpful, they arrange taxi for us many times. Plus you can wash your clothes with machine for free (detergent is provided)

Bedroom is quite old but spacious. Sometimes you can hear people next room take a bath. Lighting also quite dark.

suite, so separate living and bedroom was great, allowed us to relax in comfort together and apart. Separate shower and tub was appreciated, and the deluge shower head was fantastic. Good Wi-Fi. New water bottles everyday. Front staff were kind and helpful.

Air conditioning was not balanced, when living room was still a bit warm, bedroom was chilly cold. No drinking glasses, just coffee cups. Cleaning staff was OK, but a bit careless at times.

The size of the room is quite large, an the equipment inside is quite good, very comfortable. If the Wifi inside becomes stronger and faster, it will be perfect.

As there is many foreigner tourism to live in the hotel, I think the choice of the breakfast could be improve. (During my one week living, the breakfast almost the same)

good location. the room has everything a standard hotel business suite has which is a good value to money. the breakfast was not impressive but ok. the staffs were very polite.

the only thing i didn't like was there's a little bit of odor in the room. it's tolerable so i didn't complain. it's common among a lot of "older" hotels.
