See & Wellnesshotel Gerbi

The pools (both the inside and outside ones) offer phenomenal views, are heated to the right temperature, and have nice in-built jacuzzies. This was the main reason for me booking the hotel, and it did not disappoint, quite the contrary. The view was extra lovely also from the room and the breakfast/ dinner terrace. The location is also very good, we hiked to Rigi and it was amazing. The covered private parking is also a nice plus. The personnel is extra caring.

The hotel looks a bit "historic". Well maintained, but not super modernized. That is in the end not a big deal. A slightly bigger deal for me (I am extra picky with this) is not having blackout curtains. I wish more hotels had them/ or at least inform customers if they do or don't have them. I also didn't like the price, but I guess for the location and facilities it is hard to find a better one.

The hotel has an amazing location, right next to Lake Lucerne and 10 minute walk from Weggis ferry stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room with private bathroom were very clean. The view from the room and balcony was amazing. The swimming pools were great, especially the outdoor pool with the stunning view.

It got a little hot in the room during the night, but a fan was available to use. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been a good addition.

We booked a lake view room with a balcony and got an excellent large double aspect room with a reasonable view of the lake. We were not disappointed. The staff were very attentive and helpful, with excellent breakfast and dinner service. The hotel offered garage or outside parking. The location of the hotel meant that there was a 15-20 minute walk to the town centre and the boat station, but the hotel did offer us their courtesy car on one occasion.

I felt that what they charged for dinner, drinks and parking was high, but this is typical of Swiss resorts. On a housekeeping point, we felt that they didn't make the beds up very well. These were single beds in a double bed frame but dressed as two singles.

Views closeness to lake

When I arrived could not find the place on google maps. The place is Hotel Gerbi not See and Wellness no one knew that name. I put in coordinates in 2 phones and it took me to a beach 15 minutes past hotel. I emailed booking.com then called hotel telling reception landmarks. I told her I was at 71 Hertensteinstrasse where is hotel. Receptionist had no idea of the address. Wasted an hour in 30 deg heat walking with luggage ski jacket trying to locate. Had tried to find taxi many locals tried to help but no one had heard of See and Wellnesshotel Gerbi. The hotel is at 48 Hertensteinstrasse.

The typically Swiss style, the friendly staff, thoughtful touches and of course the amazing lake view, private beach and hotel pools.

it was hot so we kept the windows of our bedroom open for air but our room was on the first floor directly above the main terrace where a group of people gathered for drinks until around midnight. The noise kept us awake when we were desperate to sleep. This was unfortunate as we needed a good night sleep before a long drive, leaving early in the morning. This isn’t a complaint as we loved our stay. It’s just to let the hotel manager know in order to prevent this kind of disturbance in future.

Beautiful and peaceful location with breathtaking views in all directions. All staff were very friendly and helpful in offering tips for my day trips. Perfect location to explore the area by ferry as the boat launch is about a 15 min walk. The spa was exquisite with a relaxing atmosphere. Tobias, my masseuse, was highly skilled in therapeutic massage. Perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation for someone who loves natural beauty, wellness, and quieter towns.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank you very much for the stay in your hotel. Especially big thanks to Mr. Alexander Kempa from reception with his professional and very friendly human attitude which we really really appreciate. I will definitelly recomend this hotel to every of my friends. Good emplyee who deliver excelent servis is a key to succesed in Hotel industry;) We had wunderfull time in your hotel and we will definetelly come back again.

Everything! Every staff member was helpful, kind, and accomodating to us and our 3 children, this kindness was exceptional compared to the many other places we have stayed. The view was gorgeous. The food at both breakfast and dinner was quite good and the choice options met all of our needs with some picky eaters and vegetarians. The pool was so much fun for the kids and I loved the view from the outdoor pool. We wish we could have stayed more than our one night on our way home. The rooms were large and the pillows were soft and comfortable, especially after 2.5 weeks traveling with mostly uncomfortable beds and pillows.

The location had some beautiful views and we were directly across from the Weggis Lido (private beach for Weggis residents and guests). Hotel had kayak rental for free that we took advantage of. Lido was free of charge. Facility has spa and heated pools that we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of.

No A/C just 2 circulating desk fans to move air. Was hot in July.

Room was great since connecting to garden with trampoline and nice view of the lake. Spa was open until 8pm and early in morning which was great. Breathtaking view also from the outside heated pool.

Coffee capsules with no machine in the room? Shared machine on other wing of hotel after what we paid is something worth mentioning. Games corner for kids too small to enjoy.
