Auberge du Mouton

The auberge is a historic building that has been totally renovated in a modern, minimalistic style while preserving its heritage. The central location is a big plus. Its restaurant was an incredible experience in fine dining. The menu matches the minimalism of the design language of the hotel but again to our advantage. Make sure you reserve ahead.

That night, at least 8 out of an estimated 20 guests chose this hotel as an overnight stop on a multi-day bicycle trip. Yet the hotel does not offer a locked parking facility and the manager suggested parking the bicycle on the pavement outside. We eventually found a solution but it required some back and forth.

Lovely atmosphere, charming. Restaurant in hotel can be highly recommended. Perfect location; easy to walk to historical sites and historic center nearby. Delightful.

Parking your car is problematic as there are not many places available, but this is no fault of the property. French style breakfasts are always light, would have liked some meats or egg offered, but this is the same everywhere in French speaking Swiss areas so I cannot complain 😇

Period properly very attractive , beautiful room ,newly decorated , simple and attractive , spacious and airy , approachable helpful and friendly reception and dining area staff .highly recommend this hotel .

Very nice auberge in the center of town. Spacious top level room with coffee maker, free water bottles, nice balcony, and pretty views of the castle and surrounding area. We had dinner in the auberge restaurant which was excellent! Staff were friendly. We could also have our dog!

It was all perfect!

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The area rug was a nice feature. The unique design of the lamps were easy to turn on and off in the dark. The dinner was the best I have had in a long time. As a guest I was able to get a seat without a reservation. Even though they were busy I did not have to wait long for my food or refills. Will definitely go back with my wife.

I spend 2 nights in this hotel for biking around. Lacotion is amazing, in the center of the old city, nearly with old castle and many restaurants. Nice clean room and very good bed! I like very much that the hotel is old style. It added the athmoshere! Free of charge official parking exactly close to the hotel (white zone) from evening Saturday till morning Monday!

All is super!

The location is simply perfect, for one is in the old town of Porrentruy and free parking is just down the street. The service from arrival all the way to departure was welcoming and efficient. At reception we received all the instructions we needed for a pleasant stay and the staff in the restaurant were not only agreeable but provided excellent service.

The wooden floor boards creak a bit in the bedroom, making it difficult to go quietly to the facilities in the night while your spouse is sleeping. Otherwise everything in the room was pleasant.

Forthcoming host to assist guest needs and building trust, well trained, involved and polite staff (restaurant), redecorated historic building, well assorted breakfast plate, gourmet menu card introducing stylishly presented delicacies (and also fine wine card).

The minimalist style of the rooms, which lets the old building shine. The in-house restaurant is excellent but without fuss.

Cleanliness Could be inproved, escpicially in the less used rooms, corners and behind the side tables (Dust on room shelves and tables in and Hairs in bathroom corners)
