Best Western Strand Hotel

The breakfast was fantastic. As is expected, the location is unmatched and the hotel fits in nicely. Takbaren (the rooftop bar) was a favorite for us to have a cocktail before dinner each evening. Will definitely stay again.

While the rooftop bar was a highlight, our room was directly one floor under the bar, so there was the persistent noise of chairs moving around until the bar closes at 23:00. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.

The overall impression was good: good hotel, nice roof terrace and food there (fantastic). Separate plus is location (in the center of the old town) and nice staff. The room had 1 big bed and 1 one small (adjustable) bed. The last one was not super comfortable, but good enough. Clean bathroom. Breakfast was also good overall.

There were no fridge in the room. Breakfast timing (7:30-9:30) is not very comfortable for people with kinds. We were running to have breakfast every time.

Breakfast was amazing! Staff super friendly and the spa was very cute. We rented bikes from the reception and the receptionist was very helpful in giving advice in what to do and where to go.

None of the shampoo, conditioner and such was in the room, you had to ask for them at the reception! There wasn’t an iron in the room, but an ironing room that we weren’t able to find although we received directions. We didn’t have a phone in the room, but often when calling the reception from our cell phones there would be no answer.

I had dinner in the restaurant twice and the vegetarian dishes were average

Amazing location and breakfast... even if the building is old, rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the history behind the building and location in is awesome

Staff was a bit cold but I guess that's part of the culture here... Swimming Pool was cold and wasn't comfortable temperature to swim in April month but we enjoyed steam and suana instead on rainy days Some blinds and curtains were broken in the room

I was able to travel with my dog ​​and the cleaning staff were very friendly.

The restaurant was not open on Sunday night

The building with its history, the cozy corners where you can sit and enjoy reading or just traquility and the personal. A nice terrace where we enjoyed dinner. Breakfast was superb! I have not the opportunity of visit the swmming pool and bastu but I am sure they good.

The curtain in my room did not cover complety the window and in Sweden the sun rises at 4.30 this time of the year.

Great location, marvelous breakfast, interresting old building and nice all day coffee and snack in the lobby. Try the rooftop bar early evening -:)

comfortable to stay. located in old town. good breakfast. Staff is kind and informativ, because they gave me the procedure in advance how to get inside and find room key when I arrive around midnight by ferry. I can check-in by myself around 1AM without problem.

A quaint hotel in the heart of Visby, very close to all historic sites.

Being a historic property, the floor levels were up and down.
