First Hotel Statt

Very good value for money. We had an offer of a doubble room for 65 euro and didnt expect much , but we very happily surprised. A basic room with nothing extra but it was big, clean and neet and with a comfortable bed. The room was quiet and we slept well. We enjoyed the breakfast buffé with lots of variety and it was a really nice room were breakfast was served.

Since it was a room on the top floor / attic the window were facing another roof and no wiew at all except the sky, it was small and placed high up on the wall. But it didnt botter us due to the price we paid. Maybe it would be a bit cosier with some pictures on the wall or a carpet or something. But nothing accutally to complain about.

The Hotel Statt is a typical old style hotel. If you look around inside you will see that it is in a famous old building. We got a nice room looking out over the nearby church and square. The breakfast was great, as usual we found everything we wanted. Finally we got some great restaurant proposals from the person in the reception

The area might be a little noisy. And, but this has nothing to do with the hotel, but watch out for the parking signs and rules around the hotel. You will not like to get fined...

There was an error on Booking and we booked a non-existent room. The staff solved the problem, so we were put in another room, better. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The view from the window was to the courtyard, but captured the roofs of neighboring houses, which is very beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is clean and spacious. The furniture in the room is comfortable, there was a TV, but we did not use it. Liked the breakfast. It was a delicious buffet in a huge beautiful baroque hall.

Furniture is not new but in good condition. There are no more complaints.

One of the most friendly and helpful reception attendee I've ever met. I wish her the best and would kindly thank for great hospitality and smile that makes the sun shining in more happy manner :) I read opinions hotel is not necessarilly modern and that's a fact. But this is something you can fall in love in - the old wooden, squeaky floor, old elevator or beautiful balcony... It's all about atmosphere of bygon times of Gustav Adolf :)

We felt so warmly welcomed by the lovely receptionist. As expected after reading some reviews, the hotel must have been spectacular once but is in need of a renovation. We learned that this is about to happen, but was delayed by Corona. The pleasant surprise was that our „deluxe“ room was already renewed and it was beautiful, modern and old mixed in a way that it is easy to imagine what is about to become of the place in the future. And breakfast in the old ballroom was quite an experience!

The location, the building and decoration, the room

There was no hot milk at the breakfast, I had to ask for it, but the employees were really nice to have it for me. The street became very noisy during the weekends' night. Of course that is not your fault.

It is a great, big hotel in the city centre. Easy to reach. The room was great and you can feel the history and the past on those walls. The breakfast was very good and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was served in a great ballroom - worth spending time.

As other reviewers say hotel is somewhat dated but it did not bother me at all ( old tv sets don't bother me either- I didn't come to watch tv but to sightsee). Hotel is actually a great 19th century building with original decor preserved and has great elegant and cosy atmosphere. Localisation is superb and views from dining room on main square and Frederick church amazing. Breakfast was very good with large selection of food and bed exceptionally comfy. If this hotel is renovated it will be just 10/10

The location and the room size.

The hotel is a bit worn-out and during the night the music from the pubs was very loud into the room.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Central location. Very close to shops.Staff friendly and helpful.

No tea/coffee making facilities. No water boiler, tea bags, sugar, instant coffee or anything. No fridge. Only drinking glasses that sat in the bathroom. The curtains still let in a lot of light from the street. A third person for a double room needs to pay extra for extra bed that was low quality.
