Spar Hotel Majorna

The breakfast was very good and there is a terrace where you can eat it. The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, but the transportation is great - the tram stop is nearby the hotel and there are 3 trams going to the center. The area is nice, quiet and safe to walk at night. There is a nice bar Majornas Bryggeri just a couple of blocks away - we loved their beer, food and atmosphere. Plus, there is a lot of other restaurants around the hotel, so there's no problem to eat at the evening.

There was no wardrobe in our room, nor shelves to put our clothes - that seemed strange. Only hangers for jackets.. The window is looking at the tram line, so it can get really loud at the daytime if you open it. Though at night it was quiet.

Lovely, clean and cosy feel to the hotel, shower was excellent. Breakfast was good. Very limited options for vegans, but enough to fill up on. Reception staff were lovely and super helpful. Free baggage store for the last day. Would return. Location was fantastic for the islands and the centre.

No tea making facilities in our room. Reception did give me a kettle when I asked so we could make hot drinks.

The location suited me, in Carl Johans, outside of the main city centre but convenient for getting into the city when I wanted to. Hotel was nothing to write home about but it was clean and functional with an underground car park. Breakfast was canteen style but food was very nice and plentiful choice. Room was small (but that was stated in my booking) - access to the bed was tight because of the small room. Again, no tea or coffee facilities in the room and no fridge (seems to be a common theme in the hotels I used in Sweden).

Would be nice to have access to tea & coffee facilities in the room. Not really much I would complain about. Its not really a 'holiday destination' hotel but as a place to stay it's clean and comfortable and you get a good breakfast.

I am a vegan and glutenfree and there could be more options for that, had to ask everyday for more soygurt manually - a bit irritating. Please have glutefree without wheatstarch, many people can not eat wheatstarch bread when they eat glutenfree, for example brand semper is good for this.

Everything else was really good.

Location was cosy and the interior of the room was welcoming with warm colors. Breakfast was what I expected with scrambled eggs, bacon and even pancakes and a lot of other things to choose from. It was a nice reception area and the staff was lovely and welcoming.

In the bathroom I discovered a bit of "black marks" on the bathroom wall in the shower. But everything else inbthe room was impeccable so it really felt clean. The bed was a tilting a bit so it felt like I slept "uphill" with my feet pointing up. The pillows could have been bigger or would be nice if having more than one pillow..

The breakfast was good, the staff was very helpful and it was environmental.

There was only small air condition that you could put on the furniture. The location might be better specialy since when we stayed there the tram was not going because of some repairing. So we had to take a bus and then switch to another bus or tram to go downtown.

Nice location and beautiful hotel with a very good breakfast. Our room was big and very clean.

The faucet was very, very short, a bit difficult to wash your hands. Too bad that the free parking was full when we arrived in the evening around 11:30 P.M. and we had to pay for the public one on the street ( they do not make reservation for their parking places and they let us know in advance ).

Highlight: The breakfast not only is good, but it is open until noon! Great location, great value for money, clean rooms, and friendly staff. It is great for a short -or longer- holiday!

Our room was facing the back yard, which was a bit noisy early in the morning due to the the service trucks (deliveries, waste trucks).

The location was a bit away from the city centrum, but only about 10-15 minutes with the tram. Other than that it was quite an alright hotel. we chose this place as the price point was better, as well as the free included breakfast (which was completely alright). Would probably have booked it again unless there was a competitor that was far cheaper.

Breakfast was fantastic, with many options, quality, and quantity. I particularly enjoyed gluten and lactose-free options. On weekends breakfast was served until noon :) The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Car parking was crowded but we managed to find places.

Bed mattresses were very soft for my and my husband's taste.
