I knew that the Ikea Hotel would be a great experience but I wasn't expecting it to exceed my expectations. The hotel feels very welcoming with the many cosy areas to hang out, read, have a drink with family. There is a big outdoor area where you can sit in the sun or have meals as well. Everything is decorated in the Ikea showroom fashion, so it's nice to actually be able to sit in those spaces. We booked a family room which has bunk beds and it was a lot of fun. Each bed had a curtain for privacy and it's own light switches, with charging hubs for phones etc. The beds and bed linen were extremely comfortable and it was well laid out, with plenty of room. The restaurant was convenient and tasty as well as the breakfast in the morning. Staff were all helpful and pleasant and the hotel is located directly across the road from the Ikea Museum. The hotel is a short walk into the main town, quite but with some nice restaurants and it is ideally located near nice bathing places and the big lake. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have several days trips in and around Småland. It's easy access to the area.

The only thing I would say is that the bathroom in these shared rooms aren't very private. The door to the bathroom is a sliding door, so there is a large gap where you can see/hear everything.

A fantastic stay! Everything we expected and more - just great novelty to stay in an IKEA hotel. Room was spacious and very clean - simple furnishings as you’d expect! The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was one of the better ones we’ve had - SO much choice, and all very tasty. There’s so much communal kitchen and lounge space in the hotel, the gym was great and we used the free laundry facilities twice. It’s right opposite the IKEA museum which is well worth a visit (we ate dinner in the IKEA museum restaurant rather than the hotel). We were only in Almhult one night but if you’re travelling through Sweden this is a must - such great value for money for a very memorable stay!

I liked everything about this place, can't recommend it more. It's like living at IKEA exhibition. Breakfast was really good and unlike many other hotels, staff would ask you if you need anything else before closing the buffet. You can take bikes from the hotel to bike around the town, which we did and enjoy it immensely and if you want some nearby entertainment IKEA museum is right across the parking lot. As goes with IKEA products, the hotel was also affordable.

There are many facilities that staff simply don't have the time to explain to you, such as living rooms, that we had to discover by ourself. But I don't think that's their fault. Oh and my boyfriend didn't like that the towels in the room were not IKEA. 😁

Wow. This hotel is amazing. The rooms, the decor, the staff, the food, the drinks - everything was perfect. I just wish IKEA would open a whole chain of these hotels as it would definitely be my first choice when traveling anywhere!! It made it very special just being across the carpark from the IKEA museum, which is also a must see when in Sweden. We had such a nice time at the IKEA museum and IKEA hotel. We want to go back!!

Literally nothing. They seem to have thought of everything to make this a most comfortable and amazing stay. And at good value!!

It was almost like living the childhood dream of sleeping in the IKEA store! Exceptional, clean, comfy. Each floor has at disposal a common space with kids’ toys, kitchenette and armchairs to rest. 🛎️ Reception is open 24/7 and very friendy 🐕 no additional fee is charged for pets! Continental breakfast was simple but tasty and healthy. It’s vicinity to main road makes it a perfect stop on a road-trip

The family room with the door in between is great. The entire hotel is extremely family friendly and we felt very welcome. We used the washing machine (nice, some clean clothes at the end of our vacation!), spent time in the 'living room' and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.

We liked everything. We would have liked to stay longer but 2 rooms for more than 1 or 2 nights exceeds our budget.

Have stayed at this hotel three times in the last couple of years, and it has always been good. Comfortable beds, well laid out bathroom, good breakfast, great spaces for relaxation around the hotel, and pleasant staff.

The museum package wasn't available on this trip, so we choose to have an early dinner at the museum rather than the hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel!!! rooms are spacious and there are many nicely comfortable living spaces - decorated with tasteful IKEA furniture. wonderful for relaxing outside your room. Plus the restaurant has great food - breakfast, lunch and dinner. the best fish stew in Sweden. And a laundry room with free soap, dryer, irons - folding spaces. IKEA Museum was great with good restaurant.

clean, modern, good breakfast, restaurant was also good in the evening. I was really there to visit the Ikea museum which was excellent (I also found a great record store in the town…..) It felt a bit like an Ikea campus since I think most of the guests were employees from around the world attending training or seminars.

would have liked some coffee making facilities in the room, but no real complaints.

This is a beautiful hotel, lovely design and decoration. Comfortable, bright clean rooms, spacious comunal areas to cook and eat. The quality of food and drinks in the restaurant is to a very high standard.

Just that the room was a little bit small. My partner and I had 2 cases of luggage and it was a bit of a squeeze.
