Hotel La Muralla

A wonderful find, hotel has lots of charm, staff lovely, location excellent for bars but quiet, private secure parking paid and the room was the best we have stayed in this week. Will definately return to this hotel if we are passing

Everything! Have rated at highest I could! Room with terrace was v clean comfy bed & just fab. Sitting on terrace with glass of vino in the evening overlooking garden was a delight. Breakfast was amazing & gorgeous. Dinner in Hotel on a number of evenings out of 9 we stayed - every meal lovely & ate in the garden on a number of evenings. The best part of all are the staff who could not do enough for us despite our lack of Spanish & the lack of English of some staff. They made our holiday extra special - David, Ismael, Marilana, Barbara & chef Manolo. Each of them are such an asset to the Hotel & made us so welcome.

Hotel in a Lovely setting, room nicely furnished with a modern design, bathroom well appointed. Not sure why this hotel only has 2 stars, (far superior than what I expected) although I always prefer to go by reviews. We enjoyed a huge and delicious evening meal at the hotel restaurant/cafe which being very popular with the local community, speaks volumes. Good breakfast, that would probably have been better if our Spanish hadn’t been so awful!

Loved the option of a room with a terrace, but this involved the use of some quite steep steps, fine for us, but may not be accessible to all.

Great location and private parking which was 10euros extra but because we we touring our car was full of stuff so worth every penny as it was secure. If you only have limited luggage there is a free car park and 100 meters or so away. Staff don't speak English but we muddled through. The room was large and very comfortable and spotless clean. The cleaning staff were very cheerful too. Fabulous space in the common areas reminiscent of a stately home. The town itself was interesting and once siesta finished it came alive, plenty places to eat and drink. Breakfast was ok too

This hotel was perfect, i was there for 1 night beginning of august, the hotel has a lot of charms and is located in an old castle, very beautiful rooms, the workers there are very very nice and they make sure you enjoy your stay, for breakfast they had no chocolate bread so they even cook chocolate bread specially for me ! they were amazing and thats why i always enjoy coming back to spain, you always feel at home ! This is a 5 star service !

The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel was very comfortable with a large lounge area with tv, sofa and armchairs. WiFi was fast in our room. Extra bedding was available. Excellent value for money including breakfast. We didn't get to explore much due to bad weather and it was only an overnight stay.

One of my favourite hotels of this trip. After a hot ride on the motorbike, the pool was a godsend! The rooms were gorgeous as was the entire hotel. The courtyards and the gardens were lush. The outside terrace was cool as they had fans which gave out cool mist, which was most welcome in the 40 degree heat that we had there. The town square was incredible pretty with the duck beak fountains and the palm trees. Had a lovely meal there as well.

The hotel was lovely, ideally situated with private parking facilities.

Our only criticism is that our room which was lovely, was on the roadside of the hotel. This resulted in being awoken at 6am by traffic and bin men in particular. I would definitely revisit but would insist on a quiet room of which there are plenty.

Great location. Good breakfast. Nice outside bar area. The cleaner was lovely and smiley, not so much the waiting staff. The room was large and had good window shades so no light poking through to wake us up. Very clean.

I sent a couple of messages over two days and got not reply. Difficult to communicate due to language barrier. Apart from that it was very good short term stopover

Spacious room, clean and good bed. Overall the design is quite modern and attractive. The breakfast was very generous with excellent coffee. Location is fairly quiet by the city wall but still very close to the main square. The hotel offers secure parking which was great.

Overall nothing really negative, just small things like the shower tray was partly blocked with water creating a puddle when showering. Also the door handle to the bathroom was not properly attached so the door could not be closed. This suggests perhaps the hotel could do with some maintenance… Our room faced the main road in front of the hotel but there are other more quiet rooms with a nicer view towards the garden at the back - which would have been my choice if I known more about the hotel…
