Melia Plaza Valencia

No door on bathroom or toilet

Fantastic location. Spotlessly clean room. I asked for, and was allocated a quiet, exceptionally spacious room with AC (8th floor) which had no view but that was the tradeoff which I gladly accepted. The room layout ensured a good nights sleep as bedroom section was set back from the main corridor and behind a separate door. Did not need to interact much with staff but they were friendly in passing. Could not always access the rooftop even when it was supposedly open. Overall a very enjoyable, comfortable stay in Melia Plaza. Reasonable value for money in heart of a beautiful city. Would gladly return.

the room was spacious, bed was really comfy. The location was fantastic and the toiletries provided were so convinent and a great touch.

Personally, the roof top gym/ hot tub wasn’t the best. the hot tub was cold, gym and sauna was small.

The room was spacious and very clean. We loved the surroundings which were very central, had a lot of bars and restaurants and gave joy to our stay. The hotel looked great from the outside at night and there was great seating at the entrance.

The restaurant was not the same (high) level of quality as the hotel and lacked a bit of variety. We were not by car but didn't see any parking which was very close. For us it wasn't a problem however.

great location in the centre of Valencia with all necessary facilities. The room was comfortable for the stay and spacy enough for a couple. We did not use the breakfast facilities as we went out with family but would have used it in other occasions.

the bed was a double bed with two separate matrasses, which started to get separate when sleeping as being on wheels. they should have been binded together so to avoid this. for the rest they were comfortable. The view wasn't that great as it showed a side street, but all in all nice anyway.

The plaza where the Melia is located is alive day & night. Lots of restaurants & stores. The days we stayed had free concerts at night. We had a room in the corner above the hotel, the view was awesome, we could open windows & hear music at night, but once windows were closed the sound was gone. Our daughters had a standard room but they had slight corner view of plaza. We didn’t use our car once.

Location in the Plaza del Ayuntamento is perfect for exploring the old part of the city and is right next to a whole range of fabulous bars and restaurants. The courtesy bottle of water every day was a nice touch. Room was very clean and even had a nice little balcony, which I wasn't expecting with a single room.

I paid for a single room, so I expected it to be small. To be fair, it was a reasonable size, and well equipped. So no problems from my perspective.

The location is excellent, the staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean with a great bathroom, TV, minbar and proper hairdryer.

There is no option to get a cup of coffee (or tea) in the room before 9am, unless you go into the restaurant and pay €20 per person for breakfast. No kettle or facilities in the room and can’t order hot drinks on room service. Each morning I had to leave the hotel to find a nearby coffee shop/cafe and bring back takeaway coffees.

Location, quality of the room, very helpful staff

Only thing was no view at all when the couple we travelled with who paid same price had a really good view. Having said that this didn’t detract from overall stay. We got to see the view from the gym/plunge pool on the roof.

The location is second to none right on main square which a pedestrian only area. 5 minutes from train station & easy walk from the Barrio del Carmen & Ruzafa. A short direct metro ride to City of Arts & Science. Our room was large clean & comfortable with a daily fresh water bottle & hospitality tray. The bed was the most comfortable we have had on holiday & with the quiet air conditioning we had an exceptional sleep. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant looked lovely though we didn’t eat here. The roof solarium had plenty of towels and a few sun beds which we used once and enjoyed, especially the wonderful views.
