Hotel Plaza Las Matas

Super clean and spacious room. Minimalistic decoration with all that you need. Perfect room to relax and chill because it was quiet. I especially liked the shower and bathroom facilities. Very clean, tidy and peaceful. We were lucky because we booked this room the same day we were looking for one, and at a bargain price.

We did not know where to park our car. We ended up parking in an area right next to the hotel as we thought it catered for its residents and hotel staff informed us that it would be okay there and they did not think we would need to pay. The next morning, we were met with a huge parking fee, which was not what we had expected nor hoped would happen.

Very clean hotel, the bed was really comfortable, the room had a big open shower. The breakfast was basic (tortilla patatas, bacon, cheese, ham, fruits, pastries , cereal, juice and milk) but for us for a 2 day stay was enough. Right next door, there was a Carrefour were you could buy things if needed and also in the hotel room there was an empty minibar that you could as a fridge to store food like for sandwiches. The location was perfect, right next to the highway so we didn't need to detour. Next day we went to visit Zoo Madrid and it took us just 20 min by car, but right in front of the hotel there is a train station that also goes to Madrid and could be an alternative. The hotel had a underground garage (extra charge) and we could keep the car there safely.

Clean, comfortable hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Very close to Las Matas Cercanias and Renfe railway station. Easy access to the village which has a small number of shops and eateries. Quiet location but only 30 minutes on the train from central Madrid and all its' tourist sites. Direct trains also serve Madrid Barajos airport, albeit the journey is a bit circuitous and takes around 70 minutes by line 10.

Nothing! The back of the hotel may be quite noisy as it overlooks a supermarket car park and the railway. However, staff were happy to give me an inner facing courtyard room.

This is a quiet hotel in an excellent location for use travelling north / south through Spain. It has a totally tranquil ambience throughout and is exceptionally clean and uncluttered. Everything is quite minimal, in a good way mostly. The breakfast is very adequate but only if you are happy with entirely cold foods, hams, cheeses pastries etc. It is all very well presented and of good quality. Staff are very good, helpful cheerful and efficient. We have stayed here innumerable time over the past 18 years. Secure parking under the hotel is a real bonus for a low fee.

The rooms are really spartan and the internal rooms we have had recently look out onto an internal closed atrium so it can be a little claustrophobic with no view whatsoever. Breakfast juice is poor and very diluted to the point of lacking flavour altogether.

There is an almost Zen tranquility about this hotel. We have stayed here over a period of 15 years, many times and it is perfect for those on the move through Spain, North/South. It is minimal, unpretentious, clean, well designed and efficient. The staff are not just efficient but have a charm and helpfulness which is quite beguiling, matching the hotel's style. The hotel is a tiny challenge to locate just off the main drag but well worth using your brain. Secure in-hotel parking is a real benefit at a very nominal cost. Now that the breakfast buffet is open again, post pandemic, it is the complete package.

The rooms vary. They are not blessed with magnificent views. But for a short stay, really who cares? The rooms are of a good size and comfortable which is all one should expect from a transit hotel.

Now that the breakfast buffet is open again after the COVID19 restrictions, it is a great improvement. Secure parking under the hotel at a reasonable rate is hugely important and one reason we continue to use this hotel frequently.

The ethos of the accommodation is minimalism. It is actually quite bare and spartan with just one hard chair to the room and absolutely minimal soaps and gels in the bath. Even the pictures on the walls are black and white photos of nature so quite cold and impersonal. None-the-less for a one night stopover it is perfectly OK.

A really lovely stay. Breakfast was superb. Location good for our needs. Trains on hand for the city. Lovely local bars and supermarket.

Would have liked the mini fridge stocked and a kettle in the room, especially as we arrived late and local facilities were closed. But, the supermarket next door was very convenient to cater for our needs during our stay.

Very well placed for access to main North South motorways. Quiet accommodation and tastefully simply decorated. Access from free secure parking direct to hotel and accommodation by lift a very important bonus and simple to use. Comfortable accommodation with very effective A/C and excellent walk-in shower facility in bathroom. Front desk staff excellent.

Breakfast provision only in form of box with basic foods ( sandwich etc) delivered to room was barely adequate but this was due to the current COVID situation and in normal times would, we presume, return to a full buffet in the breakfast in the Breakfast Saloon.

Very comfortable room. We had a small complaint about the noise and were changed to another room straight away. Asked for special pillows and were given them on arrival. We stayed for four days and all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The bed was amazing and we slept really well all four days. The bathroom always spotless. Right next to train, buses, supermarket and cozy bars with shady terraces were we had some meals.

I stayed 13 nights in the hotel. Good value for money. I however had to pay 20 euros (which is +- 40% the cost of a night) for a late checkout at 1pm (official check out is at 11 when in most of the hotels worldwide is at 12). Considering that I stayed 13 nights and only exceeded 2 hours on the day of check out, I believe this to be excessive. I asked the lady in the desk to consider it but there was no gesture from the hotel. They should show more flexibility especially considering that this was only 2h and that as a client I stayed many days.
